Yang Family Lane, Old Man Ge's home.
Inner room.
In the dimness, a maggot crawled up Li Li'an's face.
Half-conscious, he felt an itch on his face, along with a sticky sensation. A terribly foul smell reached his nose.
Li Li'an's eyelids twitched. He suddenly opened his eyes and stared up at the dusty, old canopy. Then he jolted awake and sat bolt upright in bed.

In an instant, an overwhelming terror swept over him.
After a full ten breaths, Li Li'an suddenly realized something. He immediately turned to look beside him, only to see a somewhat familiar corpse lying in the bed behind him.
The corpse was shriveled, its hair and beard gray-white. Its face was ashen, its eyes wide open, and its cloudy eyeballs bulged from their sockets. Maggots crawled in and out of its seven orifices, giving off a nauseating stench.
It was Old Man Ge, who had died long ago!
Li Li'an suddenly understood. These maggots weren't on him—they belonged to Old Man Ge!
Which bastard had put him in Old Man Ge's bed?!
He'd nearly scared himself to death!
Thoughts raced through his mind. Li Li'an hurriedly got up and quickly brushed the maggots off
