Yang Yu grew from a martial artist defending Jiangnan City into a Planetary Level warrior who left Earth to pursue power and fortune among the stars. On Qiu Long Planet, he entered the Survival Competition and continued hunting Fierce Beasts while deepening his understanding of the Lightning Origin Law.

Arc 1Forging Through the Virus

Yang Yu trained relentlessly to prepare for the Grand Nirvana, mastering martial arts and growing stronger as the Double R Virus spread. After surviving its mutation and learning to absorb Cosmic Energy, he protected Grandpa Yang and comforted Wang Lin as signs of the coming monster crisis appeared.

  • Yang Yu recognized the Double R Virus as the prelude to the Grand Nirvana and began intense martial arts training while suspecting he might be a Spirit Reader.
  • Yang Yu stopped the Yellow-Haired Punk from harassing Meng Ran, then defeated the Green-Haired Punk and his crew when they confronted him with Wang Lin.
  • Yang Yu taught Wang Lin Xingyiquan and tested his growing strength before suspending his studies to train at Dong's Dojo and on Nanshan.
  • Yang Yu reached the Master Realm in Xingyiquan, developed his own footwork and blade techniques, and reached the Human Body Limit.
  • Yang Yu urged Grandpa Yang and Wang Lin's family to stockpile supplies as the virus spread, cared for his sick grandfather, and then lost consciousness when the virus mutated.

Arc 2Jiangnan City’s Defense

As Monsters invaded Jiangnan City, Yang Yu revealed his strength and fought alongside the military to defend its people. His battles inspired the military to promote the Martial Way nationwide, while Yang Yu and Jia Yi agreed to record their techniques for study.

  • Yang Yu awakened as a Spirit Reader, discovered his Thunder affinity, and secretly trained his Mental Force and martial techniques as Monster attacks grew more dangerous.
  • After Monsters invaded Jiangnan City, Yang Yu refused evacuation and joined Cong Hujun’s patrol, where he killed a Mutated Green Python and escaped a Rat Horde with Cong Hujun.
  • Yang Yu stayed behind to fight the Rat King and its horde, then battled for hours until he broke through to the Martial Way grandmaster realm and cleared the area of rats.
  • At the Defense Command Center, Yang Yu pledged to protect Jiangnan City and defeated the Fire-Scaled Trident Pig, whose battle was broadcast to the city.
  • Yang Yu and Jia Yi reinforced the Eastern War Zone, where Yang Yu killed numerous Monsters, including a giant octopus, and helped turn back the Beast Tide.
  • Yang Yu urged the military to teach civilians the Martial Way, and the nation’s leaders decided to promote its practice after viewing his battle footage.
  • After hearing that Hong had fought Monsters in the Northern Military Region, Yang Yu and Jia Yi agreed to record their techniques for nationwide study, and Yang Yu demonstrated the Five Element Fist and Five Elements Thunder Blade.

Arc 3The Demon Sweeping Plan

Yang Yu defended Jiangnan Base City, then launched his Demon Sweeping Plan and eliminated Lord Level Monsters threatening several major cities. After learning that nuclear radiation had created the exceptionally fast Nine-Life Cat Demon, he admitted he might only be able to protect himself if it grew stronger.

  • Yang Yu strengthened himself through months of fighting in Jiangnan City and killed the Giant Rock Bear Sovereign, driving back the Beast Tide and revealing his Spirit Reader abilities to Jia Yi and Wang Ying'an.
  • Yang Yu helped Jiangnan City survive renewed monster assaults while Jia Yi reached the grandmaster realm, then prepared to hunt the Lord Level Monsters threatening the region.
  • Yang Yu ambushed and killed the four Lord Level Monsters near Jiangnan Base City, including the Green-Armored Giant Dragon, and returned home after collecting its valuable materials.
  • Yang Yu flew to Northwest Base City, wiped out its besieging monsters, then killed the Silver Moon Wolf King and the Money Leopard King.
  • Yang Yu cleared Kyoto Base City’s monster horde and killed three Lord Level Tiger-Tail Cats guarding a strange black flower, which he brought back to study.

Yang Yu gained the Thunder Inheritance, rose to Planetary Level, and left Earth with Babata to claim Earth’s ownership and seek wealth among the stars. On Qiu Long Planet, he registered for the Survival Competition and began hunting Fierce Beasts, strengthening his soul and deepening his understanding of the Lightning Origin Law.

  • Yang Yu hunted Lord Level Monsters across Huaxia and the seas, then found Mist Island, killed the Willow Tree King, and entered the Yunmo Planet Spaceship.
  • Babata recruited Yang Yu as a registered disciple and gave him the Black God Battle Suit, Moyun Vine, manuals, and Thunder Blade, while Yang Yu prepared for a breakthrough.
  • Yang Yu became a Planetary Level Martial Artist and Spirit Reader, shared a cultivation manual with Huaxia, and cultivated his Lightning Origin Law and Thunder Domain.
  • Yang Yu and Babata recovered a Black Dragon spaceship from an underwater ruin, gathered Dark Iron on Mars, and traveled to Qiu Long Planet.
