"Quick, come help me—this Four-Legged Beast has way too much vitality, it won't die even like this!"
"Don't let it get near the water; these beasts are much weaker on land. If it gets back into the sea, we won't be able to keep it here."
The two Planetary-level fighters grew anxious. Guen had single-handedly killed a Deep Sea Beast and driven off two Imperial Council warriors, so the others immediately joined forces to launch a fierce assault on the remaining beasts.
But the Deep Sea Beast also sensed something was wrong. More and more Planetary-level fighters were appearing, and it began to retreat.
This was ten contribution points!
The Goddess Temple fighters, well aware how hard contribution points were to come by, naturally refused to let it go. Yet the beast's vitality was tenacious, and even at the cost of injury, it struggled to return to the sea, making it difficult to stop.
Suddenly, a blade light flashed, striking the Four-Legged Beast's thigh with an irresistible force. The light appeared and vanished in an instant, as if it had never been, but the deep wound on the beast's thigh proved it was real.
The Four-Legged Beast staggered several steps from the sudden attack, nearly losing its footing.
"Ang!"
The Four-Legged Beast was truly terrified now, struggling even more desperately toward the sea.
"It's Guen, Guen is back."
"What a formidable blade. Looks like those two from the Imperial Council got a taste of hardship."
The two Goddess Temple fighters exchanged glances, their faces lighting up with surprise. "Guen, we'll give you a hand."
With that, they pulled a large gray-white net from their packs. It was woven from the silk of a Planetary-level Silk-Entangling Spider mixed with various materials, strong enough that even a beast couldn't break free.
They hadn't used it before because their combined strength was still somewhat inferior to the Four-Legged Beast's.
But Guen was different. Guen was someone who could genuinely threaten the Four-Legged Beast's life. They only needed to delay it a little, and Guen would have a chance to kill it outright.
"Good!"
Without pausing, Guen charged straight at the Four-Legged Beast. The beast had no time to flee and could only turn to face Guen's fierce onslaught.
The Four-Legged Beast let out a piercing roar. Its massive body, as sturdy as a small house, showed no sluggishness as it dodged left and right with agility. The ground rumbled, dust and smoke flying. Even an Apprentice Level 9 Fighter would pale at the sight—a single touch would crush them into paste.
The Four-Legged Beast had a huge body but a small head. The shrill cry it emitted now seemed to ripple the very air. The two Goddess Temple fighters' expressions changed; even protected by the Flame God Armor, their eardrums felt pierced by needles, and faint traces of blood seeped out.
"Wretched beast!"
Guen slashed down with his blade. A tremendous force burst forth, and the Meteor Light Blade let out a soft hum. The Four-Legged Beast couldn't even block in time, and a massive wound opened on its shoulder blade, blood gushing out.
Guen showed no mercy. Instead of withdrawing the Meteor Light Blade, he thrust it forward, driving it deep into the beast's body, and twisted violently.
"Ang!!!"
The Four-Legged Beast let out a earth-shattering, agonized scream. Its eyes turned bloodshot, and instead of retreating, it surged forward. This severe injury had fully awakened the savage will in its blood.
The beast moved at several times the speed of sound, lunging straight at Guen.
Guen's body flickered, leaving only an afterimage in the beast's eyes. Then the blade light flashed again, carving an even deeper wound across the beast's belly.
Only then did the air crack with a booming sound and a fierce gust of wind.
Guen was far faster than the Four-Legged Beast. With the Meteor Light Blade, he could easily inflict heavy damage on it.
The Four-Legged Beast, which the two Goddess Temple fighters couldn't even hold back, was now nothing but a target for Guen to toy with and torment. Even in a desperate last stand, it couldn't so much as touch him.
"This..."
The two Goddess Temple fighters were speechless. They hovered in the air, holding the large net, unsure what to do.
Even without them, Guen could have killed this beast with ease.
"Boom!"
The Four-Legged Beast's head was severed. Hot, rank blood rained down like a torrential downpour from the sky. Its massive body crashed to the ground at supersonic speed, rolling for hundreds of meters from inertia, smashing through stone house after stone house before finally stopping.
This scene immediately drew the attention of others. None could believe that Guen—someone who had just broken through to Planetary-level—had done this.
Even Cal couldn't help but be distracted.
He was already the highest-ranked fighter present, at Planet Fourth Order, and posed a certain threat even to the Flame God Armor. Yet even he couldn't kill a Four-Legged Beast as effortlessly as Guen had.
"And he's only Planet First Order, with relatively weak power. If he were Fourth Order, he'd probably kill a Four-Legged Beast in at most three moves."
Cal's heart tightened. His gaze involuntarily fell on the Meteor Light Blade in Guen's hand, and his longing for a Force Weapon grew even stronger.
Everyone understood that Guen's achievement was inseparable from the weapon in his hand, but no one dared to defy the world's conventions.
After killing the Four-Legged Beast, Guen didn't strike again. Instead, he turned to take down the lower-level beasts, while a large number of soldiers continued to resist the weaker horde.
"Ang!"
With the last Planetary-level beast slain, the beast tide receded like a retreating tide, leaving behind a field of blood and fire. The surviving soldiers showed neither joy nor sorrow, silently lighting campfires and tending to the wounded.
"These beasts... they deserve to die."
Cal flew over to Guen, speaking with venom. "Every attack kills a huge number of soldiers. Even the shockwaves of battle destroy countless buildings. The people of Eastsea Province have always lived in such suffering."
"That's why we have to kill more beasts—to protect them," Roger said, breaking the heavy atmosphere.
Cal perked up as well. "Right. Come on, let's divide up the spoils from these beasts."
"By the way, Guen, what happened to those two from the Imperial Council?"
Cal asked casually. In his view, even if the two Imperial Council members were a bit battered, they should have managed to survive. With the Flame God Armor, Guen chasing them down and teaching them a lesson would have been enough.
"The one at Planet First Order has been killed," Guen said flatly.
"What? With the Flame God Armor..." Cal and the others froze, staring at Guen in disbelief. "Killed?!"
Guen nodded. "Killed."
"How is that possible?" Roger's jaw dropped. He could hardly believe it.
Just how hard was it to kill a Planetary-level fighter?
Look at the beasts—a single Planetary-level beast, even if two Planetary-level fighters ganged up on it, still had a decent chance of escaping or even turning the tables. And a human fighter protected by the Flame God Armor had even greater survivability.
Cal was a Planet Fourth Order. Even though she could threaten a fighter in Flame God Armor, killing one through that armor—draining their Origin Power to exhaustion and beyond—wouldn't be enough. It would take at least Planetary Level 6, or a Spirit Reader wielding a first-rank Telekinetic weapon, to pull it off.
But those two types were far too rare. Either one could command enough followers to add another province to the Aoyu Empire.
And the Aoyu Empire only had seven provinces to begin with. That alone showed how extraordinary such individuals were.
"I know that man. A hundred years ago, he was still a descendant of a Royal Count. I even received his recruitment offer once. Since he broke through to Planetary level over forty years ago, his strength has been mediocre, but with the Flame God Armor, he's weathered dangers—even offended an Artifact User from the Crimson Moon Society—and still come out alive. Guen, you're saying you killed him?" Roger frowned.
It wasn't that he didn't trust Guen—it was that this was too earth-shattering. Guen was only a Planet First Order fighter!
If it had been an Artifact User or a Spirit Reader, he would have found it far more believable.
Guen shot him a glance. "When we get back to the Armory Camp, won't you know the truth then?"
Seeing Guen so confident, the others began to believe it a little. If it were a lie, Guen would only be hurting his own reputation. As a newcomer, chasing two veterans into a panicked retreat was already impressive enough—there was little reason to embellish.
"Good! Brother Guen, I didn't misjudge you. Your strength surpasses even mine. This time, keeping all five beasts here—Brother Guen deserves the greatest credit. The two beasts he killed naturally count as his contribution. Seventy percent of their materials go to Guen. As for the three we killed, each of us will give a quarter of our materials to Guen. How about that?" Cal announced loudly.
"No objections from me."
"Same here. Without Guen driving off those two from the Imperial Council, we'd have been lucky to kill even three beasts with all that interference."
"Right. Guen directly crippled one beast. Otherwise, with all five working together, we might not have held them back."
"Let's go with what Cal said."
Everyone agreed to Cal's distribution plan.
According to the Goddess Temple's rules, in a joint kill, the main contributor—the one who did the most—could claim up to seventy percent of the materials, while the others split the remaining thirty percent, as long as they had each done their part.
As for the mission contribution points, they weren't completely lost either. The others could still receive a third of the equivalent share.
After all, before Guen killed the beasts, Roger and the others had fought fiercely to tie them down. With the Smart Watch monitoring everything, no one could falsify the record.
The group immediately landed and began dismantling the beasts for materials.
Guen also released the Kejia Beast, letting it feast. The flesh and blood of a Planetary-level beast was a great tonic for it.
