Guen's sudden burst caught the enemy off guard.
A flurry of explosive punches shattered the combined assault of two Tier 8 Warriors in an instant.
"How can he be this fast? How is this possible!"
Guen's drastically increased speed broke the enemy's spirit.
"Fools. If attacks can use Force Multiplier, why can't other parts of the body—speed, for instance?" Guen sneered inwardly.
The enemy's Force Multiplier was low, but at least it was a twofold multiplier.
Applied to speed, it would still be considerable.
Force Multiplier was a method and technique of exerting power. If it could be used in a punch, it could be used in a kick, an elbow strike, a headbutt—and the same applied to running and sprinting.
If attacks could be amplified twofold, so could speed.
For many Super Tier experts, this principle was already understood. At that level, they had basically undergone a comprehensive development of their bodies, so grasping such logic was normal.
But for cultivators below Super Tier, this was a trap of habitual thinking.
Especially in the Aoyu Empire, this phenomenon was widespread. Many important cultivation techniques and methods were monopolized by major Factions, leaving ordinary people with no chance to learn them, which prevented them from realizing this layer of applied skill.
A twofold Force Multiplier was naturally not bad for a Tier 8 Warrior on a Natural Planet like this.
But facing Guen, it fell woefully short.
His teachers were his parents.
One was a Kano, the other a Nord—a branch of the Ape-man race.
The Kano might be unknown, but the Nord were no ordinary people. They belonged to a vast branch of humanity—the Ape-men. Though not as powerful as the strong branches like the Kahuns, Leiwen, or Githyanki, they had mastered all the Secret Methods and techniques that most humans in the universe should learn and master.
Kolong couldn't pass down the Tribal Secret Technique to Guen, but it was perfectly normal for him to teach Guen his insights and some techniques he had figured out on his own.
That was how Guen, at Tier 7, could defeat two Tier 8 Warriors single-handedly, even with their Diamond-Grade Battle Suits.
On the other side, Chen barely managed to hold off the Horn Bow Warrior.
Chen was only Tier 6, while his opponent was Tier 8 with a Diamond-Grade Battle Suit. The teachings Chen had received couldn't compare to Guen's. For a Tier 6 to stall a Tier 8 Horn Bow Warrior was already outstanding.
The Horn Bow Warrior's face turned ugly when he saw Guen finish off his companions with clean, decisive punches. He tried to shake off Chen but couldn't manage it.
The strength Chen displayed was far beyond Tier 6.
Guen grinned, rushed over, and raised his fist high.
The Horn Bow Warrior's expression grew grim. He assumed a peculiar stance, resting one end of his horn bow on his right shoulder while gripping the other end with his hand. Facing Guen, he held three arrows clamped in his left hand, hidden behind his back.
"Bow Fighting Technique?"
Archers were devastatingly powerful, but that was only among mortals. At the cultivator level, warriors had immense close-combat destructive power, and beyond that, Artifact Users had even stronger ranged attacks.
Artifact Users could step onto their controlled artifacts and soar into the air.
Flight was a privilege of Super Tier experts, but Artifact Users could achieve it. When fighting ordinary warriors, this put them in an inherently undefeatable position.
That was why very few warriors trained in archery.
It could give a slight edge against ordinary warriors, but with the range of a bow, if two arrows couldn't finish the opponent, once they closed in, the archer's only advantage was gone.
So warriors who chose the bow all trained a close-combat skill called Bow Fighting Technique to handle fights after being engaged at close range.
There were many types of Bow Fighting Technique. The Horn Bow Warrior's style was a conservative school focused on defense first, counterattack second.
Guen held nothing back. He appeared directly before the Horn Bow Warrior and threw a punch. The Horn Bow Warrior twisted his waist, letting Guen's fist land on the bow's handle. His body swayed, using the force to retreat.
"Oh?"
Guen was slightly surprised. The Horn Bow Warrior's Body Movement Technique was quite good. Though still only at the second level among basic techniques, he had perfected it. He had also applied Force Multiplier to his entire body, which allowed the bow handle to block Guen's fist.
As he retreated, the Horn Bow Warrior nocked and fired.
But since the horn bow was still braced against his arm, the shots weren't powerful—just meant to disrupt Guen and buy himself distance.
For an archer to fight in close quarters against a warrior with extreme speed and immense strength was far too dangerous.
"As long as I can create distance, get back to where I was, back to my mount, I'll be safe," the Horn Bow Warrior thought calmly.
To facilitate the fight, they had left their mounts far away. Otherwise, the special aura of their beasts would easily be sensed by other beasts, alerting Guen and Chen. Another reason was that their mounts weren't combat-oriented beasts—otherwise, they would have charged straight in instead of setting an ambush.
"Did you forget about me?" Chen charged in from the side.
The Horn Bow Warrior glanced at Chen. How could he forget there was another person here?
But a Tier 6 warrior could only pester him. Now that he was determined to leave, there was no way Chen could hold him back.
Chen's green hair fluttered. He snapped his fingers.
A shadow fell over the Horn Bow Warrior. He froze for a moment and looked up.
A Diamond Unicorn swooped down, its massive wings enveloping him.
"How? Is he a Beast Tamer? But Beast Tamers are also Artifact Users—he's been fighting me in close combat the whole time," the Horn Bow Warrior was baffled.
Among Artifact Users, there were some special existences—some controlled beasts, others created illusions. Though few in number, they existed.
Only this kind of Beast Tamer, born from the Artifact User path, could remotely command a beast to fight without making any sound or movement.
Unless Chen was a Super Tier powerhouse, he had to abide by this ironclad rule. But if a Super Tier wanted to deal with him, why go through all this trouble? One slash would have been enough to render him helpless.
Not an Artifact User, not a Super Tier, with no wasted movements or words—the Diamond Unicorn acted.
"Looking for death!" The Horn Bow Warrior had no time to think, firing an arrow straight at the Diamond Unicorn.
A translucent energy shield composed of rhombuses suddenly appeared around the Diamond Unicorn, blocking the arrow and slamming the Horn Bow Warrior flying.
The unique Gemstone Protection of unicorns could effectively block one attack.
And the Diamond Unicorn could block one attack from a high-tier warrior. Using this single Gemstone Protection, it rammed the Horn Bow Warrior away.
"Well done," Guen said, catching up and throwing a punch.
The Horn Bow Warrior tried the same trick again, but Guen wouldn't give him the chance. His other fist struck first, landing on the Horn Bow Warrior's chest. Punch after punch, the immense force transmitted through the Diamond-Grade Battle Suit, twisting the Horn Bow Warrior's face in pain.
The Diamond-Grade suit absorbed much of the force. What remained wasn't enough to kill instantly, but it dealt heavy damage to his internal organs.
Just a few punches, and the Horn Bow Warrior lost all ability to resist.
Guen pulled off his helmet, grabbing the Horn Bow Warrior by the back of the neck from behind. "Tell me, who are you people? Why are you targeting us?"
The Horn Bow Warrior gave a weak smile, his face still brimming with arrogance.
"Still putting on airs?" Guen wasn't about to be polite. He snapped his spine directly.
Chen was taken aback. "You just killed him like that?"
Guen tossed the Horn Bow Warrior's corpse aside and shrugged. "Interrogating someone is the most boring thing. Besides, I've already got a rough idea of where he came from."
