The beast tide came quickly and passed just as fast.

In the short span of a month, it was all over, almost like a dream. Guen and Carl flew along the coast, helping the imperial army kill the sea beasts still lingering or trapped on land. The Planetary Level sea beasts had basically all retreated, leaving behind only cannon fodder.

"These sea beasts breed like crazy. They're a real scourge. Land beasts are better," Carl remarked.

Guen added, "Land beasts have their own rat tides, insect tides, and wolf tides."

Carl glared at Guen. The two of them flew along the coast, where the tall stone walls had either collapsed or been left in ruins. Some workers had already begun repairing them.

The same scene played out every year. In a few days, a new stone wall would stand along the coast. But who knew how many of its stones would have come from the original wall?

"I'm planning to stay in East Sea Province for a while. I'd hoped to earn enough contributions to exchange for a chance to get a major Force Weapon, but I'm still far short. "East Guardian has already made arrangements for me. I advanced too quickly, so he's planning to send me to the Temple Legion as an instructor to get some training," Guen said.

Carl's expression changed. "Those people in the Temple Legion are no ordinary fighters. They're the backbone of every defense against the land beast tide.
