The interior of Puluokesi Hall was a constantly shifting, mosaic-like exhibition space. Walking from one exhibition hall to the next brought you into a different setting. Sculptures that met a certain standard were displayed here. Putting them all in one enormous hall would be impractical, so the works were often arranged into halls of different styles according to the reviewers' wishes.

Reviewers held a very high status in Puluokesi Hall. Generally, only masters who had entered the Baixiang Hall Heart Gate were qualified for the job, allowing them to decide where other sculpture masters' painstaking works would be displayed with ease.
