"Taboo origin." Ye Xiu looked at Tian Jue and Doggie.
Quite a few Taboos had died in the Main World, but that had all been for destiny. Seriously, were they really going to fight over a single Taboo's origin now?
"Mostly, he's blocking the way. A Taboo is the end of a path. Until he dies, everyone behind him on that path is stuck. Either he becomes a Genesis or he dies. Only then does the path open up," Tian Jue said leisurely.
Ye Xiu's pupils contracted.
"Hang on, there's more to what you're saying." Ye Xiu looked at Tian Jue.
"A lot of things are right out in the open. You just haven't thought them through," Tian Jue said with a smile.
"Exactly. Just look at my origin—the reincarnation origin. How else do you think I've lived this long?" Doggie said irritably.
Ye Xiu fell silent.
"Speaking of which, Little Ye, we need to talk about you. You're still a long way from becoming a Taboo, but you need to choose your path carefully. Block someone's way, and you could easily get beaten to death," Tian Jue said gravely.
"So most of the current Taboos follow really obscure paths?" Ye Xiu asked curiously.
"More or less. Some follow ordinary paths, though. But unless you can hold your own, your prospects really aren't good. If you block the path, won't the people behind you have to kill you to move forward? How else are they supposed to get ahead?" Tian Jue said softly.
"They say there are three thousand Great Daos, but three thousand is just a general term. There are countless paths. Yet a Taboo is an origin in their own right, an existence at the end of a path. Ultimately, their existence blocks those who come after them.
