"Achoo..." Su Ye sneezed and rubbed his nose.

"Who's thinking about me?" Su Ye glanced at Lilith and Istar behind him.

Lilith smiled. "My lord God Emperor, I'm always thinking about you."

Istar curled her lip, feeling some disdain for that vixen Lilith. Although she was just as loyal to Su Ye, her personality was completely different from Lilith's.

Lilith was seductive to her very bones, while Istar had more of a warrior's straightforward nature. Istar could never casually say the things Lilith did. At most, she could only think them to herself.

After hearing Lilith's words, Su Ye looked at the solemn-faced Istar and deliberately asked with a smile, "Istar, don't you miss me?"

Lilith turned a mischievous look on Istar, joining Su Ye in teasing her. "Indeed, my lord God Emperor. It seems Istar doesn't think about you very much at all."

Istar's face flushed with anger. She parted her small, cherry-red lips to say something, but she was too embarrassed to get the words out.

"All right, stop teasing Istar," Su Ye said with a smile.

He really was afraid they might push Istar too far, making her draw the Blade of Primal Darkness and slash at Lilith.

"God Emperor." Istar looked at Su Ye, her face flushed and her voice tinged with hurt and urgency.

"All right, I know. I was only teasing you. Let's go," Su Ye said to Lilith and Istar.

Only then did Istar nod firmly. She shot Lilith a fierce glare, but Lilith paid it no mind. Swaying her alluring figure, she walked over to Su Ye, provocatively hugged his arm, and glanced at Istar.

Istar looked at Su Ye's arm nestled between those snowy peaks, then down at her own steel breastplate. She wanted nothing more than to cut Lilith down on the spot.

"Use them. Recruit!" Su Ye called out.

Black-and-red light rose alongside pure black light.

The process repeated five times in total.

Lilith and Istar watched the Original Sin Fallen Angels and Pureblood Fallen Angels appear in the hall, a gleam in their eyes.

One hundred and fifty fallen-type troop units had been recruited.

The only regret was that no new hero units had been recruited. Half of these one hundred and fifty fallen-type troops were Original Sin Fallen Angels, while the other half were Pureblood Fallen Angels.

The Original Sin Fallen Angels were divided into seven branches! These were the Seven Deadly Sins Fallen Angels, but all of them fell under Lilith's command.

Unless he someday recruited a separate Original Sin Fallen Angel hero unit from one of those seven branches, at which point that branch might split off and become its own legion.

For example, the Pride Fallen Angel Legion!

For now, they were all simply Original Sin Fallen Angels, with no further subdivisions.

"We pay our respects to the God Emperor!" The one hundred and fifty Original Sin Fallen Angels dropped to one knee in unison before Su Ye.

The Fallen Heaven Sanctuary's hall was enormous. Its interior was an independent space that did not count toward the territory's area, so never mind one hundred and fifty units—it could accommodate fifteen hundred.

"Rise, all of you. They will be your commanders from now on. Lilith, Istar, I'll leave them to you," Su Ye said to Lilith and Istar.

Lilith and Istar nodded.

Su Ye could not possibly get to know every one of these Original Sin Fallen Angels and Pureblood Fallen Angels individually, nor could he give each of them specific instructions on what to do and what not to do.

Lilith and Istar would need to handle all of that.

There would be plenty of opportunities within the territory anyway.

As for why he had used all five Troop Refresh Recruitment Cards on the Fallen Heaven Sanctuary rather than the Supreme Protocol, the reason was simple.

The Fallen Heaven Sanctuary could recruit ten more units.

Su Ye had also mentioned this to Thalys. Although she would not have complained even if he had said nothing, he still needed to explain so he would not seem biased.

At the very least, he should treat both sides fairly.

Ten more units meant ten more god-tier troops. This was hardly a simple matter of adding one here and subtracting one there.

Currently, Su Ye's troop units numbered: Fallen Angels: 200, Gene Praetorians: 20!

Two hundred and twenty troop units in two days was a pitifully small number. Other reasonably normal lords would have had at least five hundred troops by now.

And that was only because Su Ye had used five Troop Recruitment Refresh Cards. Without them, he would have had just seventy troop units.

He also had only 34,880 gold coins left.

"That's far too few. I still need to get more Troop Refresh Recruitment Cards during the novice period. Otherwise, once it's over, recruiting a single unit will cost a million gold coins. I can't afford that. I really can't." Su Ye looked at his two god-level barracks, the Fallen Heaven Sanctuary and the Supreme Protocol.

Without the novice buff's discount, Su Ye could not afford to recruit even a single troop unit right now.

Money itself was no problem for Su Ye. He could obtain large amounts of gold coins and Origin Crystals from the daily Void Trial, and those amounts would only increase over time.

Tomorrow, Su Ye would find out whether Lilith and the others could handle Bronze Tier creatures. There should not be much of a problem, but it would ultimately depend on their speed and efficiency.

The rating reward chests were the top priority. Only with a high rating could Su Ye get so many good things from them.

He could not blindly raise the Lord's Heart's tier just because Lilith and the others could handle Bronze Tier enemies. That would not serve his interests, nor would it maximize the gains from his once-daily Void Trial.

Clearing a Void Trial and clearing it with a perfect rating were two different things, and the resources awarded were worlds apart. Su Ye had to make sure he could earn an SSS rating in the Void Trial every day. That was what mattered.

If Lilith and the others could clear it only by sacrificing the quality of the rating reward chest, Su Ye would rather take things slowly than rush to upgrade.

Void Trial rating reward chests were only available during the novice period. After that, there would be none. This was his only opportunity, and every day was precious.

This was also why some Novice Lords took risks and chose highly difficult Void Trials.

Ignoring the quality of the rating reward chests and blindly upgrading the Lord's Heart was not worthwhile for Su Ye. He could level up whenever he wanted, but rating reward chests were available only during the thirty-day novice period.

That was also why Su Ye was so cautious about upgrading the Lord's Heart. Even leveling it up once a day made him hesitate. He worried both that Lilith and the others might not be strong enough and that it might affect his final rating reward chest.

There were several factors involved; it was not simply that Su Ye did not want to level up. As things stood, he could reliably obtain an SSS Void Trial rating reward chest every day. What wasn't to like?
