Meeting Two Conditions

Su Ye looked over the information on his Lord's Heart, filled with a sense of accomplishment.

"Once I reach Bronze Rank, I wonder what my second talent trait will be." Su Ye looked at his talent. To a certain extent,

he had developed this far entirely because of his talent—its first trait: Echo of Great Luck!

At every major rank, each lord would develop different traits due to their talents. He was now Black Iron Six-Star, not far from Bronze Rank.

If not for consistently obtaining the daily SSS-Rank Abyss Difficulty Rating Chest, Su Ye would have raised his level to Bronze Rank long ago.

This was a trade-off he had to make. The main reason was that Lilith and the others could not reach Bronze Nine-Star within a single day.

This meant Su Ye could not focus entirely on raising the level of his Lord's Heart.

He still had to wait, until Lilith and the others reached Bronze Nine-Star, before considering raising the Lord's Heart's level.

The Abyss Difficulty Void Trial increased along with the Lord's Heart's level, unless Su Ye was willing to give up the SSS Abyss Difficulty Rating Treasure Chest.

"I should wait until I have enough resources before considering upgrading the Lord's Heart." Su Ye could not help thinking.

The next upgrade of the Lord's Heart had to meet two conditions. First, Su Ye had to raise the level of his Lord's Heart to Bronze Rank in one go.

Only then would Lilith and the others' upper limit rise to Silver Rank. The ranks of a lord and their troops could not differ by two major tiers; at most, they could differ by one. That was an ironclad rule.

Second, he needed enough resources to raise Lilith and the others to Silver Rank so they could handle the Abyss Difficulty Void Trial the following day.

Only after meeting these two conditions would Su Ye consider upgrading the Lord's Heart again. Otherwise, upgrading it would be meaningless, and he would instead be unable to obtain the SSS-Rank Abyss Difficulty Rating Chest.

Su Ye sat up from Keisha's embrace and stretched. "Come on, Keisha. Time for a feast."

With a tranquil smile on her face, Keisha followed behind Su Ye toward the Wine Pool and Meat Forest.

"The feast is starting!" Su Ye's voice rang through the territory.

"Oh!!!" Voices rose one after another.

Night fell, and Su Ye's time of revelry began.

As time passed.

Early the next morning, Su Ye groggily crawled out from the pile of women. Rubbing his lower back, he made his way to the Chaos Spring Eye by instinct and took several large gulps before finally coming back to life.

"Feels good." Su Ye stretched his body. Every morning when he drank Chaos Spring Water, he always felt as though he had been reborn.

"System, open the Combat Power Gift Pack." Su Ye casually said as he looked over his territory.

[Ding: You obtained Origin Crystal x1000]

[Ding: You obtained Gold Coin x10,000!]

"That's it?" Su Ye curled his lip at today's Combat Power Gift Pack, though this was normal. Combat Power Gift Packs were available every day.

To a certain extent, what came out depended entirely on luck. There was a small chance of getting something good, but most of the time, they only contained resources.

Su Ye immediately began his daily recruitment.

Fallen Angel +30! Gene Praetorian +30! Dragon +30! Holy Angel +30!

He had not recruited any Hero Units, but this was still quite good for Su Ye. With an additional 120 God Level troops every day, that would be 1,200 in ten days and 12,000 in a hundred days!

Forming a legion was just around the corner.

"Lilith, Thalys, Istar, Pangilia, Keisha." Su Ye softly called for his five great generals.

Lilith and the others appeared before Su Ye.

"Today's Void Trial is about to begin. Prepare yourselves. Same old rule: let those recruited today level up first." Su Ye said solemnly.

Lilith and the others nodded. This had already become an unspoken rule within the territory: newly recruited troops would be allowed to raise their levels first.

They would catch up in level before anything else.

"System, begin the Void Trial. Difficulty: Abyss!!" Su Ye said in a deep voice.

[Ding: Void Trial initiated. Difficulty: Abyss. You have thirty seconds to prepare.]

The system notification sounded.

"Go." Su Ye looked at Lilith and the others.

Lilith, Istar, Thalys, Pangilia, and Keisha immediately flew toward the outskirts of Su Ye's territory.

Each of them guarded one direction as today's Void Trial began.

At the edge of Su Ye's territory, endless crimson mist spread around the land, and the blood-red Void continuously writhed.

Terrifying Abyss Demons emerged one after another from the boundary of nothingness and stepped onto Su Ye's territory.

The stench of sulfur filled the air.

Su Ye looked at these brawny Demons. Though they had no wings, each one stood more than two or three meters tall.

Su Ye checked their information.

Name: Abyss Horned Demon

Level: Bronze Nine-Star

Rank: Fifth Tier

"As expected, Bronze Nine-Star." Su Ye looked at the invading monsters, all of them Bronze Nine-Star.

As the Lord's Heart rose in level, the levels and ranks of these invading monsters also increased.

"This is about as far as it goes. At this point, all I can do is wait." Su Ye thought helplessly. Since he wanted the daily SSS-Rank Abyss Difficulty Rating Chest,

he had to make certain sacrifices.

The Lord's Heart's level would have to be put on hold for now.

The slaughter began!!

Su Ye looked through the messages in the Chat Channel. Was Nightmare Grade difficulty really that terrifying? He looked at the troops in his territory casually slaughtering the Abyss Difficulty trial monsters.

Wasn't this easy enough for anyone with hands? Did one really need full recruitment? That meant maxing out daily recruitment every day.
