The Old Man had gone into seclusion to break through to the Taboo realm. Su Ye had known about it for a while, but he had thought it would take longer.
He hadn't expected it so soon. Then again, a Supreme God's breakthrough to the Taboo realm took ages.
It required accumulation and time to settle.
"I understand." Su Ye nodded.
"Come early tomorrow," the Old Man told him.
Su Ye nodded and began working through the documents in his hands.
He spent the entire morning on paperwork.
Once he finished the last document, Su Ye returned to his territory and got to work on the new system.
Meanwhile, in the Empire!
The Seven Divine Pillars had gathered.
"Huo Wenyue is back," the First Divine Pillar said. As a candidate for the new system, she was on the same level as Ye Xiu.
But the Seven Divine Pillars all knew who stood behind Huo Wenyue. They weren't fools. The answer was obvious once they followed the logic.
The Empire's advisors were no joke. Stranger things had happened in its history.
So while a Minor Silver Rank creating a new system seemed incredible to the Empire, it wasn't impossible.
How Su Ye had done it was beside the point. All that mattered was whether the new system could be developed in full.
"Huo Wenyue brought back the new system's first realm: Spirit Awakening!" The First Divine Pillar's voice carried a hint of amusement as he looked toward the Second Divine Pillar.
The Second Divine Pillar had also come out of Imperial Capital University. Su Ye would even have to call him his senior.
