Ch. 241Deep Darkness Dragon Lord's Plans

The Deep Darkness Dragon Lord escaped Cocytus’s attack, healed himself, and planned to seek allies and souls in the Dragon Kingdom. Meanwhile, Naiyuan approved plans to rescue Walking Five Hundred Thousand and compensate the Quagoa King, leaving Nazarick preparing to act.

  • The Deep Darkness Dragon Lord used a stolen item to escape and another to heal his wounds, then planned to visit the Dragon Kingdom and unite with the other True Dragon Lords.
  • The Deep Darkness Dragon Lord suspected Platinum had been imprisoned by Filth and resolved to surpass the Dragon Emperor while keeping his World Item unused.
  • Naiyuan reassured Cocytus that he had done well and ordered the Quagoa King resurrected, offering him Seven-Colored Ore as compensation.
  • Naiyuan learned that Momonga and Herohero intended to rescue Walking Five Hundred Thousand first and approved the plan, noting that Hamsuke might be saddened if her father died.

Ch. 242The Girl's Resolve

Arche left her indebted noble family with her younger sisters and set out for the Sorcerer Kingdom with her companions. In Nazarick, Sephis and Sebas continued tempering their Dragon Blood, while the Holy Dragon King said the Seven-Colored Dragon King had gone to the Dragon Kingdom.

  • Arche refused her parents’ pleas and left the Felt Family after paying off most of its debts.
  • Arche gathered Kuti and Ure and told them they were going to the Sorcerer Kingdom to seek happiness.
  • Members of Foresight and Sword of Darkness waited for Arche and her sisters, then prepared to depart together.
  • Sephis and Sebas completed another Dragon Blood tempering, but Sephis still needed two more rounds before he could learn Wild Magic.
  • The Holy Dragon King said the Seven-Colored Dragon King had gone to the Dragon Kingdom, while Sephis planned to visit Demiurge and Sebas planned to watch the Young Dragon.

Ch. 243A Deal with Deep Darkness and the Guild Weapon

The Seven-Colored Dragon King negotiated with the Deep Darkness Dragon Lord for the Wild Magic [Heaven Fall], agreeing to exchange his own Wild Magic [Elemental Burst]. After returning to the Dragon Kingdom, he trapped Rigrit and her companions in blood-red crystals and took their crystal longsword, a Guild Weapon of the Eight Greed Kings.

  • The Deep Darkness Dragon Lord warned the Seven-Colored Dragon King that new Filth comparable to the Eight Greed Kings had appeared and that Platinum had likely been imprisoned.
  • The Seven-Colored Dragon King demanded Wild Magic [Heaven Fall] in exchange for [Elemental Burst], and the Deep Darkness Dragon Lord accepted.
  • The Seven-Colored Dragon King returned to the Royal Palace, where Drodilon, Rigrit, Rachius, and the others greeted him.
  • The Seven-Colored Dragon King sealed Rigrit and her companions inside blood-red crystals and took their crystal longsword.
  • The Seven-Colored Dragon King told Drodilon to keep the incident secret and decided to study the Guild Weapon himself.

Ch. 244NPCs of the Eight Greed Kings

The Eight Greed Kings’ Floor Guardians met in Eryuentiu to discuss the Sorcerer Kingdom, the missing Platinum Dragon Lord, and the Guild Weapon. They sent Touguang to investigate while continuing their secret plan, and considered the Elf King’s fate unimportant because they could revive him.

  • An elderly Floor Guardian convened the others to discuss the Sorcerer Kingdom, the Platinum Dragon Lord’s disappearance, and the Guild Weapon’s unknown whereabouts.
  • The Floor Guardians argued over whether the Guild Weapon might have fallen to Players or True Dragon Lords and revealed that they had deliberately used the 13 Heroes’ captain as bait to place it with the Platinum Dragon Lord.
  • The elderly Floor Guardian asked their contracted collaborator Touguang to leave Eryuentiu and investigate the Sorcerer Kingdom, and Touguang agreed before vanishing.
  • The Floor Guardians decided the Elf King’s side could wait, noting that they could revive him because part of his soul was stored in the guild.
  • A figure entered the capital of the Slane Theocracy.

Ch. 245Momonga's Leisurely Stroll

Khajiit met Momonga near the Holy Kingdom’s borderlands and agreed to lead him to Zuranon for a leisurely excursion. Meanwhile, in the Slane Theocracy, the Pontifex Maximus agreed to Naiyuan’s request but said the contract needed amendments.

  • Khajiit reflected on his transformation into an Undead and waited for the summons from Naiyuan.
  • Momonga arrived and Khajiit recognized him as a Supreme Being, then offered to lead him to Zuranon.
  • Momonga planned to explore Zuranon and considered visiting Caspond while near the Holy Kingdom.
  • In the Slane Theocracy’s central temple, Naiyuan asked the High Priests whether they had considered his request.
  • The Pontifex Maximus agreed on the Theocracy’s behalf but said the contract needed to be amended.

Ch. 246A Contract with the Theocracy

Naiyuan accepted the Theocracy’s proposal for an alliance with the Sorcerer Kingdom, then left to investigate the country and its secrets. After Pandora reported finding nothing, Naiyuan ordered Plan B and told Clem to begin acting.

  • The High Priests asked Naiyuan to maintain an alliance, strengthen diplomatic ties and trade, and help the Theocracy in a crisis in exchange for compensation.
  • Naiyuan accepted their conditions and asked to look around the Theocracy.
  • Naiyuan hinted at the glass sphere containing the Catastrophe Dragon Lord, but the High Priests declined to ask about it and let a scroll burn to ashes after he left.
  • Pandora told Naiyuan that his infiltration had uncovered nothing about the Six Great Gods, Curo, or the Theocracy’s World Item.
  • Naiyuan ordered Plan B and told Pandora to notify Clem to begin acting.

Ch. 247Miss Thousand Miles Astrologer, You Wouldn't Want...

Clementine and Pandora helped Naiyuan abduct Thousand Miles Astrologer, whose powerful perception made her sense his true nature and collapse in terror. Naiyuan gave her a golden drop of blood, and when she woke, he threatened to show her Pandora’s recording unless she cooperated.

  • Clementine reflected on her comfortable but superficial life in the Theocracy and focused on completing Lord Naiyuan’s task.
  • Thousand Miles Astrologer worried about the Theocracy’s recent losses before an unseen attacker knocked her unconscious in her room.
  • Thousand Miles Astrologer woke before Clementine, Pandora, and Naiyuan, then collapsed in terror after sensing Naiyuan’s true nature.
  • Naiyuan decided against extracting Thousand Miles Astrologer’s memories and sent a golden drop of blood toward her while Pandora recorded the scene.
  • Pandora showed Naiyuan a photograph that replayed the recording, and Thousand Miles Astrologer later woke to Naiyuan threatening to show it to others.

Ch. 248Temple of the Gods

Naiyuan and Pandora investigated the Temple of the Gods after Thousand Miles Astrologer pointed them toward the Theocracy’s hidden site. They froze time around its guards and moved in, while Pandora revealed his hostility toward the Theocracy’s treatment of nonhuman races.

  • The Earth-Dust Scripture captain patrolled the Temple of the Gods alone, disguised as an adventurer, and headed toward a lake to fish.
  • Naiyuan and Pandora arrived and used Tenth-Tier Magic [Time Stop] to freeze the captain and every living creature nearby.
  • Naiyuan detected that a Human Race member in the Hero Realm was present and credited Thousand Miles Astrologer with pointing them in the right direction.
  • Pandora Mimicked the Deep Darkness Dragon Lord’s aura and offered to kill the humans, but Naiyuan ordered him not to act rashly.
  • Pandora explained that the Theocracy’s actions reminded him of the Human Race’s campaign against Heteromorphic Races in Yggdrasil, and the two continued onward as Naiyuan sensed they were being watched.

Ch. 249God of Death

Naiyuan and Pandora discovered that the Theocracy’s temple was a test set by a surviving Six Great God, then found Curo undergoing a transformation with the Six Great Gods’ blood. Naiyuan gave Curo a bead of his own blood and went through a Gate to meet the God of Death, Slilshana.

  • Naiyuan recognized a cat statue as the emblem of the [Great Kingdom of Cats] and concluded a surviving Six Great God was testing him and warning him not to harm the Theocracy.
  • Pandora offered to summon Nazarick’s forces and destroy the Theocracy, but Naiyuan refused and continued deeper into the temple to meet the other Player.
  • Naiyuan and Pandora found Curo beneath the statues, undergoing a merger with the blood of the Six Great Gods, and Naiyuan realized the High Priests had been buying time for him.
  • Naiyuan sent a bead of his blood into Curo, then told Pandora to wait while he followed a spatial node through a Gate.
  • Naiyuan met Slilshana, the skeletal God of Death, who apologized for his earlier rudeness and called Naiyuan his friend.

Ch. 250Which Player Could Withstand Such a Test

Naiyuan met Slilshana in a strange space, accepted the World Item Ring of Extreme Spirits, and asked why the God of Death had summoned him. Slilshana revealed that he wanted to give Naiyuan the entire Theocracy.

  • Slilshana changed their surroundings into a sea and offered Naiyuan a chair and a gift through his familiar, Rufus.
  • Rufus gave Naiyuan the World Item Ring of Extreme Spirits, which increased elemental magic and granted other powerful effects.
  • Naiyuan accepted the ring and chose not to attack Slilshana, suspecting he might have a hidden trump card.
  • Slilshana sensed a threat from Naiyuan and felt relieved that their meeting had not turned into a fight.
  • Slilshana told Naiyuan that he wanted to give him the entire Theocracy.

Ch. 251The Current State of the Five Gods

Slilshana revealed that the other five Six Great Gods were still alive but trapped in a strange condition, and explained that they had discovered a way to combine faith and mana. He told Naiyuan that the path could grant immortality and endless growth, but had left his companions enslaved to its power.

  • Naiyuan questioned Slilshana's motives for offering him the Theocracy and a World Item, and challenged the claims that the Six Great Gods had died.
  • Slilshana summoned five crystalline coffins and revealed the five surviving Six Great Gods as phantoms who could not communicate.
  • Naiyuan greeted the phantoms and joked with Slilshana about how the Theocracy's High Priests would react if they learned the Six Great Gods were alive.
  • Slilshana explained that his companions had feared aging and rejected becoming Undead because of the costs to their races, classes, and skills.
  • Slilshana told Naiyuan that the Six Great Gods had discovered a path for faith and mana to coexist, one that could lead to godhood, immortality, and endless growth.

Ch. 252The Story of the Six Great Gods

Slilshana explained how the Six Great Gods tried to transcend Level 100 through World Items or Faith Power, and how the five who fused with Faith Power lost themselves and became dependent on it. He revealed that the God of Death faked his death to save them, and that the Six now secretly protected the Slane Theocracy.

  • The Six Great Gods concluded that Players could become Gods by breaking past the Level 100 limit, and considered Faith Power and World Items as possible methods.
  • Slilshana explained that destroying a World Item’s shell was nearly impossible without a power such as Wild Magic, so the Six chose to fuse with Faith Power instead.
  • The five Gods who fused with Faith Power gradually lost their sense of self as their believers’ perceptions reshaped their identities.
  • The five discovered that World Protection blocked Faith Power, but without absorbing it their bodies began to collapse, leaving them unable to escape the fusion.
  • The God of Death faked his death during the Eight Greed Kings’ arrival and used himself as the pivot to resolve the crisis.
  • The Six Gods remained hidden afterward, protecting the Slane Theocracy and sustaining its faith while observing the world.

Ch. 253Faith Contract

Naiyuan learned that the Six Great Gods had been warped by Faith Power and could not control its effects. Slilshana offered him a binding Faith Contract and their research into Faith Power, and Naiyuan prepared to answer.

  • Naiyuan concluded that the Six Great Gods had overestimated their ability to withstand concentrated Faith Power and could not use Wild Magic to remove its harmful effects.
  • Slilshana explained that the Six Great Gods wanted Naiyuan to protect the Theocracy and preserve their faith, and proposed a contract.
  • Slilshana presented a Faith Power scroll whose binding force was comparable to a World Item.
  • Slilshana offered Naiyuan a Crystal Ball containing the Six Great Gods’ research on using Faith Power.
  • Naiyuan recognized the value and danger of the offer and reached a decision about the contract.

Ch. 254Idle Chatter and Sudden Changes

Naiyuan signed a binding contract with the Six Great Gods, then used cat food to identify one of them as a member of Great Kingdom of Cats and build rapport with Slilshana. Their conversation ended when Slilshana showed him Pandora fighting a black-and-white-haired girl at the Temple of the Gods.

  • Naiyuan accepted the Six Great Gods' terms, took the Crystal Ball, and established a contract that bound both sides.
  • Naiyuan fed Rufus pet food mixed with diluted Dragon Blood, and one of the Six Great Gods recognized the dish from Great Kingdom of Cats.
  • Naiyuan and Slilshana chatted about their time in the game and life in reality while Rufus warmed to Naiyuan.
  • Slilshana interrupted their conversation to show Naiyuan that Pandora and a black-and-white-haired girl were fighting and threatening to tear down the Temple of the Gods.

Ch. 255Come, Let's Fight!

Pandora fought Certain Death at the Temple of the Gods until Naiyuan arrived and revealed that the Theocracy and Sorcerer Kingdom had become allies. Certain Death then challenged Naiyuan to a fight, offering herself if she lost.

  • Pandora transformed into his Dragonoid form and prepared to use instant-death magic against Certain Death.
  • Naiyuan dispelled Pandora’s magic and told him that the Theocracy and Sorcerer Kingdom were now true allies.
  • Pandora recognized that Naiyuan had made an agreement with the Theocracy and stood aside respectfully.
  • Certain Death approached Naiyuan and challenged him to fight, promising to let him do as he wished if she lost.
  • Pandora warned Certain Death that she might die, but she remained eager to fight.

Ch. 256Certain Death "Died"

Naiyuan fought Certain Death and overwhelmed her with superior strength and combat skill, then struck her with [Space Slash]. He left her gravely wounded and fading as he teleported away with Pandora.

  • Slilshana asked Naiyuan to give Certain Death a hard fight, and Naiyuan agreed while planning to claim her Talent.
  • Certain Death charged Naiyuan, but he blocked her scythe with one finger and threw her back with ease.
  • Naiyuan evaded and redirected Certain Death's attacks, then gave her advice that helped her recognize her combat weaknesses.
  • Certain Death became increasingly fixated on Naiyuan, and he decided to end the battle with [Space Slash].
  • [Space Slash] pierced Certain Death and began devouring her body, so Naiyuan placed her head on the ground, signaled the Six Great Gods, and teleported away with Pandora.

Ch. 257Family Plan

After Naiyuan left, the Six Great Gods assessed his abilities and decided cooperation was safer than confrontation. They revived Certain Death through Naiyuan’s delayed Time Regression spell, then unanimously approved a plan to bring her and Naiyuan together as family.

  • Slilshana realized Naiyuan had used the Warrior skill [Space Slash] rather than [Reality Slash], while the God of Wind took control of Curo’s body.
  • The God of Wind declined to rewrite Curo’s cognition, and the God of Death discovered Naiyuan had secretly cast [Time Regression] on Certain Death and her divine weapon, restoring both.
  • The Six Great Gods listed Naiyuan’s formidable abilities and suspected he possessed the [Ring of Eternal Snakes], but agreed to pursue cooperation rather than fight him.
  • The God of Wind proposed making Certain Death and Naiyuan family, and the other Five Great Gods voted in favor.
  • The Six Great Gods decided to personally tell the High Priests that they were giving away the Theocracy, then chose Slilshana to deliver the news.

Ch. 258Blood Emperor's Change

The Blood Emperor visited the Sorcerer Kingdom after learning that the Quagoa King Pe Riyuro had supposedly died in an attack by a True Dragon Lord. He discussed the incident and the Magic Academy plan with Lana, then left to visit Pe Riyuro while Clem watched over Lana.

  • The Blood Emperor rushed to the Sorcerer Kingdom after hearing that Pe Riyuro had died in an attack by a True Dragon Lord.
  • Lana told the Blood Emperor that His Majesty Naiyuan had said they did not need to worry about the True Dragon Lord.
  • Lana explained that the Sorcerer Kingdom planned to build a Magic Academy and promote Tier Magic, with Momonga and Herohero supporting the plan.
  • The Blood Emperor discussed the nations' upcoming policies with Lana and reflected that the Magic Academy could help the Sorcerer Kingdom gain influence across the world.
  • The Blood Emperor left to speak with Pe Riyuro, while Clem watched him go and vowed to protect Lady Lana.

Ch. 259Dragon Lord Touguang and the Minotaur Sage

The Minotaur Sage helped Dragon Lord Touguang enter the Sorcerer Kingdom after Touguang realized he had no money for the gate fee. Ninya, Arche, and their companions then entered the city, ready to begin a new story.

  • The Minotaur Sage arrived at Endymion after traveling through nearby countries to investigate the Sorcerer Kingdom.
  • Dragon Lord Touguang, disguised as the Dragonoid Irsayas Nyakwet, reached the gate while searching for a missing Guild Weapon and exploring the kingdom.
  • Touguang was stopped by a Quagoa soldier because he could not pay the three-copper entry fee.
  • The Minotaur Sage paid Touguang’s fee with a gold coin and led him through the gate.
  • Ninya and Arche relaxed after the commotion, and Ninya led their companions into the city.

Ch. 260Naming and Rewards

Naiyuan watched Little Green and Little Gold train with their new powers in Nazarick’s Sixth Floor Arena, then named the young dragon Niles Bahamut and gave rewards to Sephis and Demiurge. He left after sensing Herohero’s arrival, while Aura planned where to plant the sealed Catastrophe Dragon Lord.

  • Little Green and Little Gold battled in Dragonoid forms as Naiyuan and the Floor Guardians watched their training.
  • Demiurge reported that the Platinum Dragon Lord’s offspring was unusually special, and Naiyuan named him Niles Bahamut.
  • Naiyuan gave Aura and Mare the sealed Catastrophe Dragon Lord and instructed them to care for him and feed him intelligence-boosting fertilizer.
  • Naiyuan gave Sephis a pure Dragon Crystal and golden Human Blood, telling him a father needed no reason to reward his child.
  • Naiyuan gave Demiurge a Crystal Ball containing techniques for using Faith Power, which Demiurge considered applying to the Dragon Creation Plan.
  • Naiyuan teleported away from the Sixth Floor after sensing Herohero’s presence.
