Ch. 461Miracle and You

Momonga activated the World Item [Seed of Miracle] and discovered that it transformed its user in a way tailored to their nature, purifying and strengthening him. He handed the dimmed item to Herohero, who immediately activated it himself.

  • Momonga prepared safeguards with [Eternal Seal] and Wild Magic, then activated the [Seed of Miracle].
  • Flowing light surrounded Momonga as the seed examined and reshaped his essence, while Herohero, Nienniels, and Mephisto watched.
  • Momonga revealed that the seed stored, guided, purified, and applied miracles, leaving him stronger and able to combine life and death in balance.
  • Momonga offered the dimmed [Seed of Miracle] to Herohero, who accepted it and activated it at once.

Ch. 462The Origin of the Dragon-Slaying Sword

Momonga learned the Dragon-Slaying Sword’s origins from Nienniels and discovered that the [Seed of Miracle] could absorb several kinds of energy and materials. The seed’s light grew brighter as Momonga fed it experience, Demon Souls, Faith Power, and a Chaos Stone.

  • Momonga asked Nienniels about the Dragon-Slaying Sword and why Players could not choose the Dragon Race.
  • Nienniels explained that the sword had been made from a new shoot of Yggdrasil in a failed Dragon Race experiment, and that he had reforged it into an embryonic state before the Players arrived.
  • Nienniels praised Momonga and his companions for treating one another as family, and Momonga said they regarded one another as family despite not being blood relatives.
  • The [Seed of Miracle] in Herohero’s hand began to flicker as its stored Miracles ran low, and Nienniels suggested Herohero had many hidden dangers and flaws.
  • Momonga replenished the seed by feeding it experience, Demon Souls, Faith Power, and a Chaos Stone, which made its light grow brighter with each offering.

Ch. 463Possibility

Momonga used the results of a test involving Wild Magic [Soul Annihilation] to develop a theory that souls contain and gather limitless possibilities. Nienniels praised Momonga’s insight and affirmed that his support for the Players came from his own judgment, leaving open the prospect of a deeper exchange between them.

  • Momonga reflected on how [Soul Annihilation] consumed millions of souls to produce power rivaling [Longinus], and considered the many ways souls related to magic, Faith Power, experience, and demonic evolution.
  • Momonga recorded his conclusion that the essence behind souls and [Soul Annihilation] was [Possibility], using the concept to explain how gathered potential could bring about annihilation.
  • Nienniels considered Momonga’s theory and reflected on how destruction, escape, capture, and rescue could each be possibilities shaped by fate.
  • Momonga suggested that Naiyuan’s [Principle of Calamity] indirectly manipulated possibilities by causing disasters that diverted events from their original course.
  • Nienniels told Momonga he valued him and the other Players by his own choice, praising their abilities and their ties to dragons.
  • Momonga accepted Nienniels’s offer to exchange insights when they had time.

Ch. 464Miracle to Break the Deadlock

Herohero’s soul and body were purified by Miracle, and Momonga prepared to use the power to revive Nienniels and find a way to break the battle’s deadlock. As Nienniels began returning to his peak, a mysterious door appeared, prompting Yano to react.

  • Herohero’s soul was purified as the echoes of the beings he had devoured were burned away, and Miracle restored his vitality.
  • Momonga warned Herohero to eat fewer souls, then explained that he planned to use Miracle to seek a way to break the stalemate.
  • Herohero agreed with Momonga’s plan to revive Nienniels and ask Miracle for a solution to the Demon King’s threat.
  • Momonga used Chaos Stones to charge Miracle while Nienniels’s soul and body began returning to their former power.
  • An illusory door took shape in space, and Yano, who had been watching, suddenly reacted.

Ch. 465The End—Decay

Naiyuan continued fighting Yano, who tried to break away and reach a mysterious gate, but Nienniels intervened with the Authority of Decay. Yano and the demon representing Ignorance were left with their bodies withering as the battle turned against them.

  • Naiyuan struck Yano and devoured the severed half of his body with Gluttony.
  • Yano offered to end the fight, but Naiyuan mocked his fear of the gate and refused.
  • Yano split off the Original Sin Demon representing Ignorance and sent him toward Momonga and the others while he held Naiyuan back.
  • Nienniels seized Ignorance and slammed him into Yano, then used the Authority of Decay to make their bodies wither.
  • Naiyuan watched Yano suffer and remarked that he had warned him for the third time.

Ch. 466Two Ways to Break the Deadlock

Naiyuan and Nienniels fought after the Demon King’s panic disrupted his fusion, while Momonga and Herohero recognized the manifested door as a possible key to breaking the deadlock. Herohero and Momonga entered the door, leaving Naiyuan and Nienniels battling outside.

  • Naiyuan assessed Nienniels’s strength and considered how the Seed of Miracle had strengthened his resurrection and authority over decay.
  • Naiyuan activated his Dragon God Combat Method and weapon-memory talent, then attacked Nienniels with Dragon Hunt: Dimension Slash as Nienniels answered with Requiem of the End.
  • Momonga concluded that the Demon King could no longer interfere after the door’s appearance had panicked him into undoing part of his fusion.
  • Herohero and Momonga agreed the door was the primary clue to breaking the deadlock and entered it, with Herohero leading the way.

Ch. 467Certain Death and Clementine

Certain Death watched the battle outside the Theocracy’s faith barrier while Clementine and Thousand Miles Astrologer observed her. As the fighting intensified, the Dragon Emperor unleashed the Dragon Lord Annihilation Array, and a piercing scream followed.

  • Certain Death waited atop a rooftop, obeying Naiyuan’s request not to join the fighting beyond the barrier.
  • Clementine spoke with Certain Death and reflected on her growing distance from Naiyuan and her envy of Certain Death’s closeness to him.
  • Thousand Miles Astrologer watched Certain Death and Clementine from near a wall, wary that they might fight.
  • The Dragon Emperor unleashed the Dragon Lord Annihilation Array, and a shrill scream rang across the battlefield.

Ch. 468The Theocracy's Battle Situation

Dragon Lord Touguang and the others were badly injured by the Dragon Emperor, forcing Naraku to take control and retreat with the survivors. Slilshana returned to face the Dragon Emperor while Naraku recovered inside the Theocracy, leaving the battle unresolved.

  • Dragon Lord Touguang charged the Dragon Emperor again after Naraku healed him, but the Dragon Emperor's Dragon Lord Annihilation Array devastated him, the Minotaur Sage, Anhela, and Curo.
  • Naraku took control of Dragon Lord Touguang, tried to escape the Dragon Emperor's time-and-space attack, and called for Slilshana to intervene.
  • Slilshana arrived and broke through the Dragon Emperor's spatial pressure, allowing Naraku to take the Minotaur Sage into the Theocracy, hand Curo to the High Priests, and confine Anhela in an alternate dimension.
  • Naraku separated from Dragon Lord Touguang and rested while Certain Death, Clementine, and Thousand Miles Astrologer checked on him.
  • Slilshana and the Dragon Emperor confronted each other again in the darkened sky as the others watched from inside the Theocracy.

Ch. 469The Tide Turns

Slilshana joined forces with the Dragon Emperor to attack the Dragon Emperor’s other consciousness, which had tried to seize control of their body. As Slilshana prepared Soul Annihilation, the Dragon Emperor summoned Kind Mother, who manifested the Great River of Souls.

  • Slilshana sensed that he had regained a missing part of himself and declared that he and the Dragon Emperor now stood on equal footing.
  • The Dragon Emperor attacked Slilshana, but his other consciousness suddenly paralyzed him and bound him with the Ring of Origin.
  • The Dragon Emperor counterattacked, temporarily suppressing his overclocked other consciousness, and called on Slilshana to act.
  • Slilshana used Soul Annihilation, while the Dragon Emperor mobilized souls as fuel and urged Kind Mother to intervene.
  • Kind Mother broke through space with five dragon heads and manifested the Great River of Souls in the present world.

Ch. 470World Will's Curse

As Chaoduzias forced the Great River of Souls into reality, the World Will descended and cursed both him and Gustot, who shared the Dragon Emperor’s body. Chaoduzias revealed that his plan targeted Gustot, while Slilshana prepared to cast [Soul Annihilation] and Kind Mother began acting.

  • Slilshana watched the Great River of Souls sweep away Chaos Beasts and saw its waters converge on the Dragon Emperor, so he gathered energy for [Soul Annihilation].
  • The Dragon Emperor was trapped in the river as the World Will recognized his disruption of the world’s cycle and descended.
  • The World Will’s curse covered the Dragon Emperor and infected the souls of Gustot and Chaoduzias with blisters and parasitic eggs.
  • Chaoduzias told Gustot he intended to kill him despite their contract, explaining that their separate names reflected their betrayal of one another.
  • Gustot relied on the Divine Authority of the Nine Luminaries to endure the curse, while Chaoduzias warned that he had prepared more than [Soul Annihilation].
  • Kind Mother began acting outside as Chaoduzias finished speaking.

Ch. 471Dragon Emperor—Complete Form

Kind Mother and Slilshana helped Chao Duzia survive the World’s Curse while the Dragon Emperor’s body was consumed by it. After the Dragon Souls restored Chao Duzia, he defeated Gustot by sacrificing a Player’s soul to Soul Annihilation, then resurrected as Chaoduzias Baixion.

  • Kind Mother waited for the Dragon Emperor’s life to fade, then summoned the Dragon Souls from Dragon Soul Sanctuary to restore Chao Duzia.
  • Chao Duzia explained that he had let the World’s Curse target him so Gustot would bear the world’s attention, and declared Gustot defeated.
  • Gustot vowed that the Divine Authority of the Nine Luminaries would preserve his True Spirit, but Chao Duzia countered with Soul Annihilation.
  • Slilshana sacrificed the soul of one of the Eight Greed Kings, the Human Race Wood Elf Player who was the Elf King’s father, to fuel Soul Annihilation and destroy Gustot’s Divine Authority.
  • The World Will’s pressure vanished, and the Dragon Emperor used Self-Life Reincarnation to resurrect as Chaoduzias Baixion.

Ch. 472Players and Dragon Lords

Chaoduzias Baixion returned after defeating the Nine Luminaries World Devourer’s scheme, and he thanked Tiamat for her centuries of work. As he and Kind Mother entered the Theocracy, Naraku prepared to meet the Dragon Emperor cautiously.

  • Chaoduzias Baixion declared that the six-hundred-year drama had ended without a victor, only losers.
  • The Five-Headed Dragon descended and celebrated the Dragon Emperor’s success, believing they had proved the Nine Luminaries World Devourer could be overcome.
  • Chaoduzias Baixion thanked Tiamat for her efforts, and Kind Mother noticed how much his personality had changed.
  • Kind Mother took human form and walked with Chaoduzias Baixion through the Theocracy’s opening barrier.
  • Slilshana explained the Dragon Emperor’s plan and the Players’ identities to Naraku, who prepared to speak with Chaoduzias Baixion while Touguang and the Minotaur Sage stood ready to flee.

Ch. 473Kindness from the Dragon Emperor

Naraku met the Dragon Emperor, who proposed an alliance against the Nine Luminaries World Devourer and offered the Ring of Origin as a gift. The Dragon Emperor exposed Anhela’s attempted escape by using the ring to force him out of hiding and restrain him.

  • The Dragon Emperor and Tiamat introduced themselves to Naraku, and the Dragon Emperor declared that he and Nazarick shared an enemy in the Nine Luminaries World Devourer.
  • The Dragon Emperor asked Naraku to form an alliance, citing the favor he had done for the transmigrated Players, but Naraku said he could not decide without the original body.
  • Naraku invited the Dragon Emperor and Tiamat to visit Nazarick, but the Dragon Emperor declined until he had mastered his unstable authority.
  • The Dragon Emperor revealed that he knew the original body was in the Abyss and gave Naraku the Ring of Origin as a gift and compensation.
  • The Dragon Emperor hurled the Ring of Origin at a hidden patch of space, forcing Anhela out and trapping him in the ring.

Ch. 474Dove Delivering Olive Branch

After the Dragon Emperor and Kind Mother departed, Naraku and Slilshana secured Anhela and divided the Dragon Emperor’s remains. Naraku helped Slilshana prepare to learn Wild Magic, investigated the World Item [Dove Delivering Olive Branch], and decided to return to Nazarick.

  • The Dragon Emperor and Kind Mother vanished into the breach, and Naraku found Anhela restrained by the Ring of Origin.
  • Slilshana gave Naraku the Dragon Emperor’s flesh and blood, then divided Anhela into five sealed pieces and gave Naraku his left hand.
  • Naraku used the Dragon Crystal to purify the concept of [Dragon] within Slilshana, helping prepare him to learn Wild Magic.
  • Naraku asked Slilshana about [Dove Delivering Olive Branch], and Alah Alaf recalled that its background story described a dove carrying hope and peace through obstacles.
  • Naraku considered whether the World Item could have let the Dragon Emperor spy on the guild, then said he would return to Nazarick.

Ch. 475Sea of Demonic Origin

Newborn Demons hatched along the River Styx in the Sea of Demonic Origin and began slaughtering one another to survive. As the bloody melee continued, an illusory doorway appeared, and a Black slime covered in eyes stepped through with a companion.

  • Demon Eggs hatched along the shore, producing Imps, Lesser Devils, Hellhounds, Succubi, and Yama Demons.
  • The newborn Demons devoured their eggshells, then turned on unhatched eggs and weaker Demons for nourishment.
  • Some newborn Demons jumped into the River Styx to feed on Demon Worms while others began fighting and devouring one another.
  • Two voices interrupted the massacre as an illusory doorway appeared, drawing the Demons' attention.
  • A Black, many-eyed slime stepped through the doorway and remarked that he might like the place.

Ch. 476The False Sky

Momonga and Herohero searched the Sea of Demonic Origin for the target marked by the Seed of Miracle but found no clues. Momonga realized the target was hidden beyond the false sky, and the chapter ended with them uncovering a massive Demon Egg in the void.

  • Herohero sampled newly born demons while he and Momonga searched the shore and sea for clues.
  • Momonga rejected Herohero's suggestion to destroy the Sea of Demonic Origin with a World Item, warning that it could provoke the Will of the Abyss.
  • Momonga reasoned that the Seed of Miracle's fixed location and the false sky might conceal their target, then flew upward with Herohero.
  • Momonga used the World Item [Abyss of Hell] to shatter the sky's invisible membrane and open a rift.
  • Momonga and Herohero saw a three-meter Demon Egg rooted in the void, surrounded by red lights and pulsing patterns.

Ch. 477Original Sin Demon Fetus

Herohero and Momonga discovered that the Original Sin Demon Fetus contained a weak soul being devoured by three demons, then used a World Item to bring it under Nazarick’s control. They left through a portal with the Demon Fetus, planning to strengthen its safeguards after returning to Nazarick.

  • Herohero identified the Demon Fetus as a potential Child of the Plane with the authority of Original Sin.
  • Momonga and Herohero discovered that three souls—Greed, Anger, and Ignorance—were devouring the Demon Fetus’s developing soul.
  • Momonga and Herohero realized the Demon King had arranged the souls to compete for the Demon Fetus’s body.
  • Herohero used Downfall of Country and Castle to control the vulnerable Demon Fetus and marked it with a dragon-shaped light.
  • Herohero erased Greed, Anger, and Ignorance and turned them into nourishment for the Demon Fetus’s original soul.
  • Momonga opened a doorway with the Seed of Miracle, and he and Herohero departed with the Demon Fetus for Nazarick.

Ch. 478Sacrificing to the Abyss

Naiyuan, Momonga, Herohero, and Nienniels tried to leave the Abyss with the captured Yano and a powerful Demon Fetus, but Yano sacrificed his source to summon the Will of the Abyss. As they fled toward the exit, Yano revealed he could awaken the Will completely with the soul origin of Yggdrasil Creation.

  • Naiyuan and Nienniels brought the defeated Yano and another Demon to Herohero and Momonga, who explained how they had obtained the Demon Fetus in the Sea of Demonic Origin.
  • Naiyuan used the Staff of Millennium to touch the Demon Fetus, and the group decided to preserve it and return to Nazarick before the Abyss's growing suppression harmed them.
  • Yano burned his source power to resist capture, but Naiyuan, Momonga, Herohero, and Nienniels combined their authorities to suppress him.
  • Yano sacrificed his source and summoned the Will of the Abyss, whose gray light shielded his three souls from Naiyuan's Great Calamity.
  • Naiyuan led the others toward the teleportation coordinates, but Yano revealed the soul origin of Yggdrasil Creation and began using it to awaken the Will of the Abyss completely.

Ch. 479Super Fusion!

Yano sacrificed his authorities to the Will of the Abyss and became a temporary God, then overwhelmed Naiyuan, Nienniels, and Herohero while the awakened World Will blocked their escape. Naiyuan used his self-destruction to buy time, and he, Momonga, and Herohero activated the World Item [Heart of Fusion], beginning a transformation as Nienniels was blasted away.

  • Yano’s offering awakened the Will of the Abyss, whose gray eyes froze the world and sealed the coordinates against Naiyuan and his allies.
  • The Will of the Abyss restored Yano’s authorities as divine authorities and granted him temporary Godhood.
  • Yano attacked Naiyuan, Nienniels, and Herohero, overpowering them as the World Will’s pressure steadily weakened their strength.
  • Momonga said the Will of the Abyss was preventing him from locking onto the coordinates, so Naiyuan held Yano and triggered [Dragon Star Meteor] in a self-destructive explosion.
  • Naiyuan resurrected beside Momonga and urged the group to make the Abyss suffer rather than keep trying to escape.
  • Naiyuan, Momonga, and Herohero activated [Heart of Fusion], combining the Flesh of the Calamity Dragon, Bone of the Undead King, and Blood of Dark Chaos as Nienniels was blown away.

Ch. 480Chaos Demon Dragon—Ruler of Chaos

Yano escaped the self-destruction blast but found himself threatened by a magic circle, which released Naiyuan, Momonga, and Herohero fused into the Chaos Demon Dragon. As Yano and the newly formed God clashed, Yano considered escaping the Abyss and both sides unleashed their strongest attacks.

  • Yano survived the Demigod’s self-destruction with only superficial injuries, then sensed danger from a colossal magic circle.
  • Yano charged the magic circle, but it shattered and the emerging dragon-like creature struck him away.
  • Naiyuan, Momonga, and Herohero controlled their fused body and discovered that their combined Authorities had created the Authority of Chaos.
  • Yano reconsidered his revenge and saw the battle as a possible chance to escape the Abyss, while preparing an attack for the watching Will of the Abyss.
  • Yano used “True Chaos: Extreme Burst Meteor Dragon Star Annihilation!” as Naiyuan answered with the Authority of Chaos, and their attacks ignited a strange point of light in the universe.
