The Final Performance (Part 1)

"Ah, I'm stuffed!"

At Ichiraku Ramen in Konoha, Naruto contentedly set down an enormous bowl, then patted his stomach.

Ichiraku Ramen was absolutely his favorite food. If he weren't worried about getting scolded by his mom, it might have been his one and only favorite.

The owner of Ichiraku Ramen was a great person and had always treated him well since he was little. Naruto could tell that this owner was different from everyone else.

If other people treated him well, it was largely because his dad was the Fourth Hokage.

But this uncle in front of him was kind to him purely from the heart, without anything else mixed into it.

Naruto had been smart since childhood, and his heart was exceptionally pure. On top of receiving a good education, he could naturally distinguish many things.

This uncle treated him with genuine sincerity. That was why Naruto liked being around him, and also loved the Ichiraku Ramen he ran.

"You're full, Naruto?" Uncle Ichiraku said with a smile. "Then hurry home. Things aren't very peaceful today, so get back early and don't make your parents worry."

"Yeah." Naruto nodded, his gaze drifting toward the place where scattered firelight flickered. "It really isn't peaceful."

Naruto felt rather helpless inside. No matter how he looked at it, what had happened today was anything but ordinary, yet he knew nothing about it.

Although he knew these matters weren't something he needed to worry about, and even if he asked his parents, they wouldn't tell him anything.

Even though he wanted to say, "Lord Kei was already on the battlefield at my age. Knowing a few things isn't a big deal."
