A delicate cry rang out. The students around her immediately scattered with a whoosh, as though afraid they might step on the girl who had fallen.
"Ow, that hurt." Rubbing her backside as she sat on the ground, a pink-haired girl wearing a hat and huge sunglasses cautiously looked around. When she spotted Jiu Ming, even those oversized sunglasses could not conceal her surprise. "It's you?"
"Uh... I really am famous, huh." Jiu Ming shifted the plate in one hand onto the plate in his other, stacking them together before pulling the girl to her feet.
"Of course. You're someone who changed this world." The pink-haired girl smiled, but upon hearing the commotion nearby, she immediately panicked. "Oh no, I don't want anyone to find out who I am. Let's hide, quickly."
With that, she took the lead in running into the crowd. After weaving through the masses and shaking off several people searching for her, Euphemia let out a long breath. "This identity business can be such a nuisance sometimes. I only wanted to take part in the school festival quietly for once."
"Well." Jiu Ming gave a friendly smile, his eyes slanting toward a certain direction. How should he put it? Just when she thought she had evaded the people looking for her, she had failed to realize that she had already been spotted. They had to be hidden guards.
As a princess, Euphemia naturally had no shortage of protective measures when she went out. Even in the crowd, Jiu Ming spotted quite a few familiar faces.
"How have you been lately?"
"Very well." Euphemia smiled with great elegance. "I'm living the life I always wanted. It feels wonderful to see everyone able to live each day with smiles on their faces."
