X-C100 Planet is equivalent to a transportation hub in Star System X Star Zone. Most of the transfers between the star zones divided by the Star System Alliance take place on X-C100 Planet. Tens of thousands of aircraft and ships take off and land every day. Xilin's goal is the D to M Star Zone, one of the rapidly developing "Free Trade" ten zones in the Star System Alliance. X Star Zone is only in the lagging development zone.
As for the A to C Star Zones, it's not easy to establish a foothold there. Zone A has many political organizations, and the United Government of the Star System Alliance is located there. Zone B has many academies, as well as a lot of finance and trade. As for Zone C, most of it belongs to a military stronghold, where the Star Alliance's most famous military academy—the Star Alliance Military Academy—is located. The ABC Three Star Zones are called the "Shining Three Stars Zone" by the Star Alliance people. Not everyone can go there; the water is too deep, and one might be inexplicably wiped out at any time.
Sitting in a restaurant near the airport, Xilin rested his chin on his hand and watched the scene outside. Compared to the chaotic splendor of Brown Earth Star, X-C100 Transit Star was orderly everywhere, from the large cargo ships to the speeders flying rapidly in the sky above the streets, all in good order. It truly lived up to its name as the transportation hub of X Star Zone.
Xilin bought a tabloid. The flashing animations and the resounding names on the newspaper always made people feel the freshness of each day. Xilin drank the tea in his cup. His ticket to K Star Zone had already been bought. All Xilin had to do was wait.
Whether it was his posture, the way he drank tea, or how he held the newspaper, Xilin gave the impression of being extremely well-bred. This was cultivated by following Yuanye since he was a child. He didn't look like someone from the slums at all. Of course, this was just to conceal himself and match his current appearance. If Xilin wanted to give off a ruffian impression, he could do so easily.
"Hi, sweetheart, are there any empty tables?"
A Young Man with Brown Shoulder-Length Curly Hair, wearing sunglasses and somewhat flashy clothes, walked into the store carrying a large black suitcase. The top two buttons of his shirt were undone, revealing his well-built chest muscles to display his explosive masculine charm. He flirtatiously looked at the Female Waitress, his gaze unreservedly directed at her prominent chest.
There were Robot attendants nearby, but he deliberately went to the Female Waitress behind the counter. Such a pickup line was common. The Female Waitress was clearly no longer surprised by this situation and still replied with a smile: "I'm very sorry, there are no empty tables, but there are empty seats. Would you like to wait first, or go to an empty seat with others..."
"Oh, there are none left! What a shame!"
The Young Man scanned the interior of the store through his sunglasses, his gaze finally stopping at Xilin's table.
"That table will do. I'll squeeze in with that Kid."
"Okay, please."
The Female Waitress's smile was a little stiff. It was a standard six-person table, and now there was only one person there. With this person, it would only be two. How could they squeeze?
Although there were several tables in the restaurant with only one or two people sitting at them at the moment, Dias deliberately chose this table. Dias felt that this Kid gave him a strange feeling, an indescribable strangeness, and he even vaguely recognized him. He really couldn't remember for a moment.
He casually placed the suitcase he was holding aside and sat down opposite Xilin. Even inside the store, he didn't intend to take off his sunglasses. For now, he attributed it to "showing off."
He took the menu handed to him by the waitress, his fingers sliding continuously on it, switching through the dish images one by one, and making his selections.
"Hmm, I'll order these few things first."
"Okay, please wait a moment."
After ordering, Dias said to Xilin, who was reading the newspaper, "Hi, Kid, waiting for your flight?"
Xilin looked up, smiled elegantly, and replied with a look of "I am very well-bred": "Yes, Uncle."
Unc... Uncle?
This brat actually called the handsome, dashing, radiant, and charming himself "Uncle"?! If it were his subordinates, Dias would have slapped them with the sole of his shoe long ago. However, it was interesting.
From the moment Dias walked into the store, Xilin had been paying attention to this guy. Even though he knew nothing about this Young Man, Xilin felt that this person was very strong, stronger than anyone he had ever met. Xilin didn't show any anger at being called a "kid" by the other party, who was seventeen years old. Instead, he responded with "Uncle."
Dias laughed heartily, picked up the wine glass that had already been served, and drank it in one gulp. "I'm waiting too. I've already bought a ticket to K Star Zone. How about you?"
"Me too."
"Yo, looks like we're fated to meet."
The waitress who brought the snacks rolled her eyes upon hearing this. Fated to meet? What a load of crap. Most people here were probably waiting for the flight to the K Star Zone. Did he think everyone else was an underdeveloped ape, with him being the only "fated" one?
"Thanks, Sweetheart!" Dias said, his hand lightly brushing the waitress's fair hand as he spoke, full of playful provocation.
"You're welcome." She smiled, completely ignoring him.
Dias didn't seem to mind. He turned back and casually resumed his conversation with Xilin, offering a few critical remarks about the day's Daily Newspaper, mostly filled with disdain and condemnation. Xilin mostly listened quietly, only nodding or saying a few simple words when Dias asked a question. Meanwhile, Dias's backside was gradually inching closer to Xilin. Although Xilin appeared relaxed, his mind was tense, his muscles ready to spring into action at any moment.
"Sigh, I've talked so much without even introducing myself," Dias leaned in conspiratorially towards Xilin, a look of undisguised arrogance on his face. "My name is Dias."
After speaking, Dias leaned back against the soft chair, crossed his arms, and chuckled triumphantly. His expression clearly conveyed: "Admire me! Worship me! Have you seen a god?!"
Each table was separated by a transparent light barrier. People on the other side couldn't hear the conversation, and Dias had intentionally or unintentionally blocked the view with his arm when he spoke, preventing outsiders from seeing his lips and thus discerning his words.
Xilin blinked, momentarily confused by the guy's smugness. "Oh. My name is Xilin."
"..."
Xilin's reaction genuinely stumped Dias.
That's not right. If he's from one of those families, he should know me.
Dias shot Xilin a strange look, then said with amusement, "You're hilarious!"
Xilin: "..."
Where did that "hilarious" come from?
"Ahem, so, I guess we know each other now. Xilin, it's a pleasure to meet you." Dias extended his hand.
Xilin stared at Dias's outstretched hand for a second before smiling and reaching out. "It's my pleasure to meet you too, Mr. Dias."
Their hands clasped and separated quickly, but Xilin was inwardly shocked. Upon contact, his internal chip fed him information, and through it, Xilin learned that Dias's Gene Level was A-class!
Xilin had met some people here before, but the highest Gene Level he'd encountered was B-class. He hadn't expected to meet someone of this caliber so soon.
A Hunter?
A handshake, while not a formal greeting, was something Hunters often favored, along with hugs. This was because such physical contact allowed for a subtle contest, a clash of strength that was an effective way for most Hunters to interact. To accept such a greeting required a certain level of courage; misjudging oneself could lead to serious injury or even death.
However, Dias saw that Xilin was merely surprised for a moment before accepting the gesture. Dias felt a sense of admiration. This guy has some substance. Although Dias hadn't made any subtle moves during the handshake, Xilin's ability to return the grip so calmly and fearlessly intrigued him. Was he foolishly overconfident, or was he truly a hidden master?
Probably the latter, Dias thought. But judging by Xilin's reaction, he genuinely didn't recognize him. Which family does this kid belong to? Xilin had only stated his name, "Xilin," without mentioning a surname, making it difficult for Dias to inquire further. He was truly curious.
Just then, the flight announcement sounded, and over eighty percent of the people in the lounge got up to head to the boarding area. Dias clung to Xilin, entering the station together. Thousands of people were on this flight. Xilin hadn't chosen First Class or Third Class, opting instead for Middle Class. To his surprise, Dias had also chosen Middle Class. Dias even went out of his way to switch seats, ending up next to Xilin. Even inside the Cabin, Dias made no move to remove his sunglasses.
Xilin had a feeling this journey wouldn't be smooth.
