Power Progression

Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Meson–Macro Particle “seed breaking” state 14 After roughly a year of accumulation, his neural meson-macro particle fluctuations remain at an early seed-like stage; his True Qi is far from sufficient for mecha control.
Collective consciousness surge 19 Following the battle with a Node Creature, many selves briefly reach civilian-level consciousness scale, while some frontline selves reach scholar level.
Mutual Radiation and temporary telepathy 20 Singing synchronizes the collective’s self-awareness, producing controllable temporary telepathy and rapid regeneration in wounded selves.
High Life Radiation / consciousness integration 26 Mental communication becomes frequent enough that his selves converse with Bai Linglu as one whole; the system states that his Life Radiation is high enough to create new bodies under technical conditions, an option he declines.
Superhuman Life Activity 28 Activated during a 150-kilometer forced march over 36 hours to rescue a captured self.
Life Radiation “Sixth Sense” 30 Can locate hostile Gene Colonies and increasingly pinpoint the position of a lost remnant body through Life Radiation.
Consciousness-scale breakout 31 Average consciousness-node value rises from 43 to 129, remains above 80 after the peak, and reaches a single-individual maximum of 675.
Plant synchronization and blood-mediated perception 41, 42 Local plant colonies begin accepting his gene radiation; blood injections allow him to perceive recipients’ thoughts and cure expelled mutants, though the treatment temporarily lowers his Life Radiation.
“Human Emperor” system designation 46 With roughly 1,500 selves maintaining uniform Life Radiation, his colony lacks a single absolute Node Creature; the monitored system is designated Human Emperor.

Background / History

Rebirth and recruitment

Wei Keng is reborn as a five-year-old boy on a future Earth six centuries after his previous life, retaining his former memories. His parents disappear while serving on a dangerous space-time exploration mission. 1

He is conscripted into the Space-Time Shuttle Human Resources Development Committee and assigned to a training base near Pu Hai’s Gravity Well Mouth. Before deployment, he earns full marks in written and social-practice assessments and survives a final encounter with a potentially rabid dog by using a fire axe and pepper spray. 4 5

Wei Keng is the elder brother of Wei Qiang by only five minutes, despite Wei Qiang being far more experienced in interdimensional work. The brothers’ names both connote strength, with “Keng” preceding “Qiang.” 4

Shenzhou Plane

Wei Keng’s first traversal places him in a world classified between an Adjacent Plane and a Near Plane, where supernatural abilities have begun emerging among humans. 6 He awakens from cryogenic sleep as the designated successor to the Wei family’s Luoshui Group, immediately reviewing its personnel, financial, and property records. 6

Rather than relying only on inherited authority, he attends local high school and participates in public examinations to understand Shenzhou’s education system and talent pool. 8 He shifts Luoshui’s strategy away from direct military-industrial competition, investing in civilian drones, software, affordable goods, rural markets, information-industry training, roads, and power infrastructure. 12 13

His economic initiatives alter the plane’s future strongly enough to provoke downstream assassination attempts. After learning that conventional True Qi cultivation would be too slow, he uses the Hetu facility for a second traversal. 14

Stranding in Pandora

A Space Ripple disrupts Wei Keng’s second traversal, causing him to miss his intended time point by roughly ten years. 15 He arrives in the Pandora World as a large collective of selves and immediately faces gene-fused creatures in the ruins of human civilization. 17

After surviving the initial battles, the collective establishes itself in the ruined Zhushui Jiao Region, salvaging bricks, steel, and other materials from a buried 21st-century city. 19 The group’s shared battle experience triggers consciousness resonance, giving its selves temporary telepathy and accelerating their adaptation to Pandora’s Life Radiation. 19 20

Jian City conflict and settlement building

Wei Keng’s settlement comes into contact with Jian City after merchants arrive as spies. He prepares for a prolonged conflict rather than an immediate decisive war, requesting mortars, machine guns, night-vision devices, sniper rifles, and other supplies through the system. 21 23

He defeats Jian City forces through ambushes, terrain control, artillery, and coordinated communications, then captures and gradually integrates prisoners into his workforce through food, education, and calculated trust. 24 25 When a Wei Keng self is captured by a Gene Colony, the collective conducts a forced march to rescue him and later retrieves and regenerates his remnant body. 28 30

Following major campaigns against nearby Gene Colonies, Wei Keng shifts attention toward agriculture, hybrid crops, flood control, mechanization, trade, and urban growth. 33 36 37

Southern regime and return

Wei Keng’s expanding influence destroys the regional balance among Gene Colonies. His collective conducts repeated infiltration operations, defeats the Fake Human Gene Colony, and develops increasingly precise telepathic fire coordination. 40 41

After completing a handover with the Desperate Plane, Wei Keng receives modern resources through a newly established wormhole. His settlement’s forces formally raise the flag of the Unified Punishment Army. 47 He later supports export production, energy development, and a biogas power project for the Southern New Regime. 48

Although he gains the ability to return at will, Wei Keng delays departure to complete ongoing power-station and agricultural work. 49 After a 200-day delay, he returns through the wormhole, merges with his other selves, and organizes their memories. 50

Personality

Wei Keng is cautious, practical, and conscious of his own limitations. His university training gives him enough technical knowledge to recognize when specialists understand a field better than he does, preventing him from making uninformed decisions. 10

He initially avoids conflict where possible, fearing the uncertainty of war and preferring preparation, supply gathering, and attrition over reckless confrontation. 21 23 In combat, however, he is decisive and willing to place himself in danger to protect another self. 17

His treatment of Jian City’s prisoners reflects a pragmatic but humane approach: he provides necessities, teaches them, and eventually arms some of them rather than treating them solely as enemies. 25 He also refuses to pursue revenge against Kaomu’s forces after defeating them. 28

Pandora gradually hardens him. As conflicts escalate, Wei Keng begins rejecting social rules he cannot understand or see as beneficial to his collective, becoming far more ruthless toward hostile Gene Colonies. 35 Even so, he remains deeply attached to his selves, preserving their memories, retrieving their remains, and treating their losses as irreplaceable. 19 30

Abilities & Skills

Collective Incarnation and Telepathy

Wei Keng exists in Pandora through numerous selves created by distributing his Information Enthalpy. Their perceptions, decisions, and memories increasingly function as a unified collective. 20 26

  • Shares visual, auditory, olfactory, and spatial information across the collective. 29 40
  • Transmits key combat data—including target location, timing, and characteristics—in approximately 0.03 seconds. 40
  • Allows squads to coordinate attacks, rescues, reconnaissance, and artillery corrections with exceptional speed. 29 41
  • Early telepathy is temporary and unstable; it becomes more frequent through collective labor and repeated combat. 19 26

Life Radiation

Wei Keng’s Life Radiation develops into his defining supernormal trait in Pandora.

  • Enables rapid healing and limb regeneration when sufficient nutrition is available. 20
  • Produces large-scale ecological effects when amplified through singing. 20
  • Lets him sense hostile Life Radiation, locate Gene Colonies, and track lost selves. 30 40
  • His blood can reverse mutations in Jian City’s expelled mutants, though this temporarily reduces his own Life Radiation. 42
  • May permit the creation of new bodies using his stem cells and a suitable facility; Wei Keng refuses this option. 26

Superhuman Life Activity

Wei Keng can force his body into an enhanced state under extreme pressure.

  • Activated during the collective’s 150-kilometer, 36-hour rescue march. 28
  • Supports prolonged operations in hostile terrain alongside the collective’s shared coordination. 28 29

Tactical Command

Wei Keng’s greatest battlefield strength is not individual physical power but planning, logistics, and coordinated execution.

  • Uses deliberate ambushes, terrain control, attrition, infiltration, and encirclement tactics. 23 24 41
  • Prioritizes disrupting enemy transport and mobility before committing to major engagements. 31
  • Coordinates artillery through shared observation and rapid cross-verification of firing data. 41
  • Treats unknown enemies cautiously, anticipating hidden transformations and secondary threats even when victory appears certain. 40

System Interface

Wei Keng’s consciousness is connected to a system identified as Jiajing 3443. 14

  • Provides maps, shooting markers, trajectory prediction, warnings, and real-time combat information. 17 18
  • Corrects throwing trajectories for projectile weight and wind conditions. 18
  • Supports supply requests and teleportation of material aid. 23
  • Does not make Wei Keng omniscient; he must still identify and manage battlefield blind spots himself. 18

Industrial and Economic Planning

Wei Keng applies education, organization, and production knowledge to build long-term capacity.

  • Develops low-cost e-commerce and rural-market strategies in Shenzhou. 13
  • Establishes training for the information industry and positions Luoshui toward civilian software and drone development. 12 13
  • Leads Pandora’s transition from scavenging to agriculture, mechanization, trade, energy generation, and urbanization. 33 37 48
  • Invents a single-cylinder vertical steam engine and helps analyze and repair diesel generator sets. 37

Early True Qi Cultivation

Wei Keng begins cultivating True Qi in Shenzhou but develops slowly due to a mismatch between his consciousness and the target plane. 14

  • Follows cultivation precepts involving abstinence, regulated meals, and disciplined conduct. 14
  • At his initial rate, would require roughly another decade merely to apply a trace of True Qi to a small object. 14
  • Cannot operate the Po Jun Golden Armor, which requires at least ten years of cultivation and functional internal-Qi sensing. 12 14

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Fire axe and pepper spray — Used to survive the final shuttler assessment against a large dog. 5
  • Map, auto-aim, and trajectory-prediction support — System-assisted tools used during Pandora operations. 17 18
  • Slingshots and charcoal-filled clay pots — Improvised incendiary harassment weapons used against beast hordes. 18
  • Crossbows, submachine guns, bamboo spears, and bayonets — Standard weapons used by the early collective. 18 29
  • Mortars, light machine guns, sniper rifles, and infrared night-vision devices — Requested for long-term guerrilla and attrition warfare. 23
  • Kevlar helmets and ceramic-plate vests — Protective equipment that prevents most projectile casualties during the Jian City campaign. 28
  • Captured assault rifle — Disassembled, reassembled, and test-fired by Wei Keng after battle. 28
  • Artillery and satchel charges — Used during later large-scale Gene Colony operations. 41

Relationships

  • Wei Qiang — Younger brother and experienced transmigrator. Despite their different abilities and temperaments, the brothers share mutual concern; Wei Qiang protects Wei Keng’s work during his failed traversal. 4 15 26
  • Ke Feijia — Fellow shuttler, senior guide, and researcher who introduces Wei Keng to supernormal research, explains traversal risks, and helps evaluate his cultivation progress. 9 12 14
  • Bai Linglu — Wei Keng’s Observer. She records his consciousness development, provides system support, and repeatedly urges more aggressive action; their personalities and priorities often clash. 19 21 26 39
  • Qin Hongyue — A capable woman serving the Wei family in Shenzhou. Wei Keng rejects her attempted seduction while maintaining restraint and distance. 7
  • Zeng JiakanJian City merchant who becomes a regular companion and source of regional knowledge. Wei Keng later treats his severe mutation with a blood transfusion. 33 39 40
  • Fang Hong and Zeng HeJian City captives defeated during Wei Keng’s ambush campaign; their later interactions help Wei Keng understand Jian City’s military factions. 24 28
  • The Wei Keng Collective — His own parallel selves. Their bond is central to his identity; they fight, labor, mourn, communicate, and undertake rescues as one. 17 19 30
