The descent was incredibly fast. In less than a second, Lin An shot straight through the blasted-open tunnel entrance and headed directly for the Mutant's position.
Smoke and dust swirled around him, while chunks of rock occasionally fell from the cavity overhead. The entire tunnel now looked as though a skylight had been opened in its ceiling, with a trace of cold, dim light filtering down from the dark cloud.
