Above the ruins of New York, clouds of dust hung like mist that would never disperse, blocking out the sky.
Hovering in midair outside the instance exit, Lin An lowered his head and pondered, unsure what he was thinking.
The trail had gone cold.
He had originally intended to obtain more information about the Savior from Red Queen, including how exactly the fellow inside the Ghost Skull had died.
But after repeatedly "confirming" it, he found that Red Queen's memories seemed to have had a section deleted from the middle. All that remained was the memory of Fiona entering the instance.
There was only one useful piece of information.
E013's former host—the fellow inside the Ghost Skull—had not died entirely inside the Ghost Skull. Rather, part of his corpse had been brought into the Ghost Skull only after his death.
Number 77 had mentioned this. The previous Savior had been split in half!
The clues had been severed far too badly.
No matter how hard Lin An tried to reconstruct what had happened back then, he could only arrive at a vague guess.
Andrew had obtained the previous Creator's corpse before entering Resident Evil and brought it into the instance.
E013 had been preserved within that part of the corpse.
That would explain why Fiona, or Andrew, mutated; why Red Queen mutated; and why the Resident Evil instance could lead to the Ghost Skull! It would also explain why Andrew inexplicably ran into the Ghost Skull and then ran back out!
Everything originated from the previous Creator's corpse!
Scene after scene of memories flashed past at high speed. Lin An exhaled slowly, and the image before him finally settled on the War Star Level corpse Andrew had summoned.
That was it. There was something wrong with that
