The woman stood over five foot nine, the fullness and slenderness of her long legs proportioned to perfection. The astonishing curves of her hips, waist, and chest, paired with a supple, sinuous gait like a water snake, were dazzling to the eye.
Especially the seductive contours of her brows and eyes—they embodied every fantasy of a femme fatale.
"Sir, your tea. And here is the information and report concerning the Pegasus project. Your appointment with Mr. Howard Stark is in roughly fifteen minutes. Would you like to rest a little longer? I can inform him to wait downstairs for a while."
"That's fine. When Stark arrives, let him come straight in. Hmm... you brewed this tea?"
This strikingly beautiful young woman, who seemed to work as a secretary for the Group, made James take a few extra looks.
He had not asked anyone to prepare tea. Accustomed to the refined tea-making skills of the old family butlers through the generations, as well as several particular varieties of tea, James rarely drank tea brewed elsewhere.
After taking a perfunctory sip, James discovered that the tea the young woman had served was exceptionally good. She had clearly studied the art of tea seriously, which was truly rare in America.
He nodded, took a couple more sips, and casually asked a few questions. Then he pulled a cigar case from his pocket and was about to use his cigar cutter when the woman smoothly took it from him without drawing attention to the gesture. She expertly clipped the cigar and answered in a clear, elegant voice:
"I brewed it. Chinese tea is very particular about both the leaves and the brewing process. Please forgive me if it is not to your liking."
As she spoke, a flicker of panic suddenly crossed her face.
