The Wolf Seat Type III spacecraft slowly came to a halt in near-Earth space. James looked out the observation window at the empty void, then turned his head toward Erik Lehnsherr.
"That's right, Dad. This is the place."
Erik reached out, and rippling patterns spread through the void. A Kree interstellar cruiser as large as a mountain appeared.
This was the ship Mar-Vell had left in outer space. It was the same model as the one Yon-Rogg and the others had piloted that day.
"Azazel."
At his dad's call, Red Devil bared his teeth and sensed the area for a moment. Then he chuckled and opened a portal. Beyond the black-and-red gateway lay a quiet, chilly corridor of blue-black alloy.
James stepped through first. Behind him came Steve, Erik, and the others, along with Beast Hank and several excited researchers.
Their footsteps shattered the silence aboard the spacecraft. Kree science had long made it possible for large interstellar vessels like this to operate and perform routine maintenance automatically. Mar-Vell had been more than capable of piloting the cruiser alone.
Wearing his gold-rimmed glasses, Hank walked on his enormous beast's feet while discussing the alien ship with several scientists who specialized in large spacecraft and fighter jets.
Under Erik's control of magnetism, the group proceeded without obstruction. Heavy metal doors opened one after another, until they reached the ship's central control room.
The circular control room was cluttered with storage boxes and all sorts of "strange" things. Black-and-red smoke burst out here and there as Azazel's bone blade sliced through box after box. Holding a gift set of cosmetics, he clicked his tongue in wonder.
"Dad, if that alien woman you beat half to death had stayed on Earth a few more years, she might've gotten so attached to it she
