Sasuke began to doubt all the effort he had put in up to now. It all seemed meaningless.

Uchiha Itachi looked at Sasuke, who had stopped struggling, disappointment flickering in his eyes. "You're weak. Why are you so weak? Because your hatred for me isn't strong enough—not nearly strong enough."

Within the Tsukuyomi world, Sasuke appeared in the underground meeting hall. His mother and the women of the Uchiha clan were beside him when a masked man suddenly burst in and began slaughtering everyone.

When everyone had fallen to the ground, the man removed his mask. It was Uchiha Itachi.

The scene shifted. The same mask, the same slaughter, was taking place within the Uchiha clan compound.

Sasuke was tortured to the brink of collapse, letting out one despairing scream after another.

Naruto could not bear to watch any longer and suddenly charged forward. Kisame froze for a moment, then immediately swung Samehada, intending to sever Naruto's legs.

Crimson flesh walls covered the entire corridor. Samehada was ensnared by the flesh, and Naruto stopped in surprise. Sasuke slowly sank into the flesh wall as Uchiha Itachi released him and turned to glance at Jiraiya.
