Naruto happily set up an iron pot and began cooking mushroom soup.

The rich aroma drifted on the wind. The death row prisoners hiding nearby swallowed as they watched Naruto wolf down his food, and the urge to kill surged within them.

They were all death row prisoners with blood on their hands. Naturally, they had no sympathy for Naruto, especially since he bore the title of executioner.

Still, given the current situation, no one was willing to be the first to step forward.

But they could not remain locked in a stalemate forever. Some had considered joining forces with the others, but they were all turned down. There was only one spot for a pardon, so forming an alliance was completely unreliable. Who knew whether an ally might stab them in the back?
