General Francis cast General Charlie a surprised glance. He was somewhat bewildered; as far as he knew, General David had not been doing well within the Federal High Command.
Especially after General Milton had been killed, General David's situation had become extremely difficult.
General Francis had originally intended to introduce David to some of his own friends upon returning, so that David would at least not suffer too much exclusion within the Federal High Command.
Yet he had never expected General Charlie to speak up for David.
"That's right. What General David has been busy with lately concerns the Federation's overall combat strength!" General Hawthorne added.
General Francis saw the goodwill the vice commanders showed toward David. There was not the slightest hint of alienation, let alone exclusion!
