She wasn't worried about anything else.
Vilvi continued to sort through her thoughts.
She steeled herself.
By then, the car had nearly reached the outskirts and stopped outside a factory building.
She picked up the still-unconscious Kiana from the back seat.
And carried her into the factory.
At a glance,
there seemed to be nothing unusual inside the factory.
Old concrete and steel bars, all sorts of discarded clutter...
Only after Vilvi activated a mechanism could one see that there was more beneath the surface: a basement she had renovated herself.
It contained a temporary workshop she had built for herself.
There were also some living facilities.
Though it was somewhat messy, and the air still carried a faintly pungent smell, once the ventilation system was turned on, there was still a bed to be found.
Vilvi placed Kiana on the bed.
Then, by chance, she glanced over.
And was startled.
"?!"
Because Kiana had somehow already woken up.
Her bright, watery eyes were open as she stared quietly at Vilvi.
She didn't make a fuss, didn't struggle, and was even very compliant.
But to Vilvi, that was honestly terrifying enough.
Like a cat caught stealing food,
she couldn't help but take a step back, staring uncertainly at Kiana.
Their eyes met.
For a moment, the atmosphere became extremely awkward.
"When... when did you wake up?" After switching personalities, no, the original Vilvi had been thrown out, and she wore a completely bewildered expression.
Only after quite a while did she remember something.
Then she asked Kiana.
Kiana answered innocently, "I was awake from the very beginning."
