Harley was happily watching the spectacle from a corner.

With the Assassin Sequence boosting her, she was exceptionally good at hiding her presence. Fudge and Lucius hadn't noticed her at all.

Professor McGonagall had been able to spot Harley earlier only because Harley had deliberately made her presence known to her Head of House.

As she watched unnoticed, Harley suddenly froze.

If she'd heard correctly, Lucius and Fudge thought Hagrid was the Heir of Slytherin.

And Hagrid had opened the Chamber of Secrets and ordered the Monster inside to kill someone?

Oh my God!

Harley's expression was a sight to behold.

For one thing, Hagrid was a Gryffindor.

And it was an indisputable fact that most people in the Ministry of Magic were Pure-bloods. Anyone with a little sense could figure that out by putting two and two together and reading the papers.

Most of them had also graduated from Slytherin House.

So they were saying that those Pure-bloods believed a Gryffindor like Hagrid—who was very likely a half-blood giant—was actually the Heir of Slytherin?

What kind of century-old joke was that? They might as well just kill him! Besides, that couldn't possibly be true, could it?

Even if she gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed Hagrid really did have Slytherin blood—

What would that mean? Most likely, one of the Slytherin heirs had been seriously into giants and married a giantess.

In that case, he'd absolutely be disowned! After all, Pure-blood wizards cared about nothing more than bloodlines!

Harley didn't even consider the possibility of a female heir marrying a male giant. The chances were far too slim, unless some special magic was involved.

Besides, with Hagrid's big mouth, if he really were the Heir of Slytherin, could he have kept it secret for so long?
