That evening, Hermione stood outside the Leaky Cauldron, happily holding Crookshanks as she said goodbye to Harley. Mr. Granger stood by his beloved car, waiting with a trunk full of books.

"See you on the train, Harley." Hermione waved goodbye, then climbed into the car.

Harley watched until they had left before returning to the Leaky Cauldron.

In the blink of an eye, September first arrived, and Harley came to King's Cross Station early, as usual.

Harley had let Hedwig fly off early, while she held Sirius tightly by the hand, afraid the big dog might suddenly bolt.

This time, Harley found a public restroom and made herself invisible inside before taking Sirius into King's Cross Station.

After all, a Scottish Deerhound of such enormous size was bound to attract attention.

Harley's actions startled Sirius again. He couldn't believe his goddaughter could cast a wandless Disillusionment Charm—and so effectively, too!

Even with his wand, he couldn't do that!

Once they entered Platform 9 3/4, Harley dispelled the invisibility.

It wasn't even half past eight yet. Sunlight spilled across the empty platform.

The familiar Hogwarts Express basked in the morning sun and breeze.

As he looked at the Hogwarts Express he hadn't seen in so long, Sirius felt his nose sting and fought back tears.

James, Lupin, Lily, Arthur, Professor McGonagall, Headmaster Dumbledore...

One familiar face after another flashed before Sirius's eyes.

They stood or sat, some holding hands, smiling whenever they looked at him.

But now, everything had changed.

Some had already embarked on their journey after death; others were still alive, but he could no longer see them.

If they ever did meet again, they might go straight for the kill!

But Sirius wouldn't resent them for it.

He should have died on that night twelve years ago.
