Harley listened quietly as Professor Dumbledore explained the key points about animal-shaped Patronuses.
After Professor Dumbledore reminded Harley not to try becoming an Animagus lightly, she couldn't help asking him a question:
"Professor, you once showed us your Patronus. It was a Phoenix."
"As a master of Transfiguration, do you have an Animagus form?"
"And if you do, what is it?"
Faced with Harley's questions, Professor Dumbledore smiled.
"Sorry, Harley, but I can't tell you."
"It's getting late. We professors will handle the task of catching Sirius Black."
Harley knew she wouldn't get any more information out of him. Besides, with Professor Dumbledore here, her journey for the night was over.
Harley dipped into a curtsy. "Then I'm sorry for the trouble, Professor."
Before she had even finished speaking, her body scattered into a vast cloud of silver light, then disappeared into thin air.
At the same time, her real body, lying in her sleeping bag, opened its eyes.
Harley turned over, feeling a pang of regret.
She'd wanted to wait until she was closer to the Great Hall before dismissing her Patronus, so she wouldn't lose quite so much power.
It hurt to think of all that power going to waste!
Harley closed her eyes, trying to sleep away her heartache.
Meanwhile, in a clearing in the Forbidden Forest.
Sirius lay there, facing a silver wolf.
The silver wolf was speaking in Professor Lupin's voice.
"Peter showed up. He tried to steal the Marauder's Map from Filch, but failed. The map had already been lost, after all."
"After that, he went to steal Potions from Severus. Now the school thinks you did both things."
"So that damn Wormtail wasn't the one who stole the Marauder's Map before?"
Sirius grew angry and scratched the ground hard with his claws.
