After the battle ended, Hermione emerged from behind a cabinet.
She watched as Harley layered gray light after gray light over Peter Pettigrew and couldn't help feeling curious.
"Harley, why did you knock him out right away? Don't you need to interrogate him?"
"Not for now." Harley shook her head. "I need to take him to see some people and confirm some important truths."
As she spoke, Harley clapped her hands lightly. She stopped casting curses and Dark Magic, and instead summoned more Spider Silk, wrapping it around Peter layer by layer.
Hermione nodded, then blushed and said sheepishly, "Sorry, Harley. My aim earlier was a little... a little..."
Harley shook her head. "It's fine. This is normal."
"Real combat is completely different from regular training. All sorts of unexpected things can happen."
"Besides, you've never had any relevant training at all. It's perfectly normal to be bad at combat and feel nervous."
Hermione furrowed her brow without thinking. She seemed a little unconvinced, but had to admit that Harley was telling the truth.
The young Witch watched Harley pack up Peter Pettigrew in silence, then suddenly asked in a whisper, "Can you teach me how to fight?"
"Mm... of course." Harley nodded.
Hermione's lips curled into a smile at the affirmative answer, and she said nothing more.
At last, Harley finished wrapping him up. "Let's go. I've prepared our Christmas present ahead of time. First, we'll go see Headmaster Dumbledore."
As she spoke, Harley waved her wand, and Peter Pettigrew floated up behind her.
The Headmaster's Office wasn't very far from the Room of Requirement, and the two soon arrived in front of the stone statue.
