After Professor Lupin took over dealing with the ordinary Inferi, Harley kept only a small part of her attention on the other directions, in case any slipped through or Professor Lupin suddenly went berserk after turning into a werewolf.
She focused most of her energy on dealing with the two Giant Inferi.
For a Demoness who had not yet reached the demigod level, dealing with Inferi—dark creatures that were essentially dead bodies—was actually very difficult.
After all, most of the Dark Magic and curses the Demoness Pathway specialized in were ineffective against the dead. The Disease Aura and Pleasure abilities could not work on corpses, either.
They were already dead, so how could they get sick or feel pleasure?
As for Spider Silk, although it was excellent for restraining them, it did not do enough damage. It could not even cut through a giant's skin.
Only Black Flame and ice could hurt the Giant Inferi, but breaking through their defenses would take a long time.
It could be said that most of the Demoness Pathway's abilities were severely restricted.
But Harley was not completely without options. Humanity's greatest strength lay in flexibly using the weapons and tools at its disposal.
The earlier "Law of All Laws: The Dead Shall Not Exist Here" had marked every Inferius that came near the island as a Criminal, while the Judgment ability weakened these Criminals' physical abilities.
However, while maintaining the weakening effect over such a large area, creating another law would require even more Spirituality. So Harley did not lay down any new rules, and instead used the Witch's own abilities.
Several Ice Spears and tongues of Black Flame quickly formed behind Harley and began circling.
