"What happened?" Hearing Harley's words, Pheobe couldn't help feeling puzzled.
A few people at the other end of the room had vaguely heard the word "Champion," so they looked up and curiously glanced over.
"When Hogwarts's Champion was being selected, the Goblet of Fire spat out three slips of parchment," Harley said calmly.
"And they all had my name on them. The only difference was their prefixes and handwriting."
Pheobe's expression changed. Although she didn't know much about how the Goblet of Fire worked, and Beauxbatons's Alchemy lessons hadn't covered anything this profound, she understood well enough that the Goblet acting this way couldn't possibly be a good thing.
Considering that the other schools' headmasters would soon be discussing the matter, Harley hadn't gone out of her way to lower her voice.
So the four Champions at the other end of the room had clearly heard her, too.
They were stunned. Tsuchimikado Seimei even tried to widen his small eyes, wondering if his English wasn't good enough and he'd misheard.
Pheobe was about to ask something else when the door to the room opened.
The headmasters of the six magical schools and two Ministry of Magic officials came in, along with three of Hogwarts's four heads of house: Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape, and Professor Moody, the Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts.
No one looked particularly pleased. Moody's magical eye was rolling wildly, seemingly suspecting every breathing creature in the room equally.
"What is going on, Dumbledore?" Headmaster Karkaroff roared the moment the door closed.
"Why did this Harley Potter's name come out of the Goblet of Fire three times when it was Hogwarts's turn to select a Champion?"
"I'm just as curious about that," Professor Dumbledore replied impassively.
"I'll certainly investigate this unusual occurrence."
"The Ministry of Magic
