At the sudden, piercing scream, Catherine jumped in fright.
Afraid something had gone wrong, she quickly threw herself into a roll to the side and warily scanned her surroundings.
It didn't take Catherine long to figure out what had happened—
After Tsuchimikado Seimei snatched Krum's Golden Egg, the two had gotten into a short chase.
Desperate to get his Golden Egg back and save his points, Krum had tried to blast Tsuchimikado Seimei out of the sky with spells.
At first, he'd held back, using only ordinary spells like the Stunning Spell and the Petrification Curse.
But after just three minutes, Krum had grown impatient, and his attacks had become increasingly vicious.
All kinds of curses, mixed with several fairly powerful pieces of Dark Magic, streaked across the sky. If even one had hit Tsuchimikado Seimei, he'd have been laid up for half a day.
But Tsuchimikado Seimei skillfully controlled his Swift Shikigami and dodged Krum's spells.
He even had time to use the Nekomata Shikigami on the ground to counterattack, or fire off a few spells from the sky.
The Chinese Fireball had also begun to regain a little of its senses as its frenzy subsided, and it focused all its hatred on the bastard who had cursed it.
So Krum got to relive his Quidditch days—only this time, it was on hell mode—
The Bludgers had evolved into the Chinese Fireball's fireballs and Tsuchimikado Seimei's spells, and there weren't just two of them anymore. There were dozens.
He also wasn't riding a Flying Broomstick, which made the challenge even harder.
Fortunately, Tsuchimikado Seimei felt bad for his Shikigami and called back all the Nekomata. Otherwise, the danger Krum faced would have increased dramatically.
Under such a concentrated barrage, Krum was forced to keep casting defensive spells and dodging.
