For the remaining half of the summer, Professor Dumbledore hardly showed himself.
The only time he appeared in the Order of the Phoenix's hall was to ask Harley whether she was willing to serve as Gryffindor's female prefect that year.
Naturally, Harley accepted the position without hesitation.
As for who the male prefect would be, Professor Dumbledore did not mention it, and Harley did not ask.
Other than that, Harley spent the rest of her time buried in the library at Number 12 Grimmauld Place with Hermione.
Ignoring the ugly expression on his beloved ancestor Phineas's face, Sirius waved a hand and allowed all Order of the Phoenix members to freely borrow ancient magical books from the House of Black's library.
Phineas had nearly gotten into an argument with Sirius over it, since these were books the House of Black had treasured for centuries.
Even when Sirius had first allowed Harley and Hermione inside, Phineas had already been somewhat displeased.
In the end, Headmaster Black could only console himself with the fact that "Harley is a descendant of the House of Potter, and Sirius's goddaughter," barely managing to make peace with it.
But now Sirius had gone and done this—casually opening the library to outsiders. For Phineas, a traditional pure-blood wizard devoted to House Black, it was utterly unacceptable.
Of course, Phineas eventually realized that he had worried far too much.
The adult wizards all had their own duties. When they finally got time to rest, they wanted to relax rather than come here and work hard at reading.
Among the residents who had long lived at Number 12 Grimmauld Place, Mrs. Weasley was busy every day devising tastier dishes.
Ron would rather play Wizard's Chess by himself or wrestle with his summer homework than step foot in here.
