In the tense atmosphere, the Quidditch Match officially began.
As eleven o'clock approached, the staff and students began making their way to the Quidditch Pitch.
Along the way, Professor Lockhart tried to boast about his achievements in Quidditch, but nobody paid him any attention except for a few young witches.
The weather outside was hot and humid, and thunder rumbled faintly in the distance.
The Gryffindor Quidditch Team members quickly donned their bright red robes, while Gryffindor students kept stopping by to cheer them on.
Everyone hoped the Gryffindors would give Slytherin a good thrashing. The Slytherins had been unusually arrogant lately, after all.

"Don't worry, Wood." Fred hefted his bat and let out a shrill whistle. "I'll make sure he never forgets the red-haired Weasleys!"
"There'll be a massacre today! A massacre of Slytherin!" George agreed.
The two teams emerged from their locker rooms, and a roar rose from the stands.
Three-quarters of the stands were a sea of red, with students from three Houses cheering on Gryffindor.
The Slytherins, however, booed Gryffindor furiously. Their jeers weren't very coordinated, and some were even trying to pull little tricks.
Lee's voice rang out right on cue.
"My dear Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws, and thoroughly unpleasant Slytherins, the 1992–1993 Hogwarts Quidditch season is officially underway!"
As he spoke, Lee nimbly dodged several unidentified objects thrown by Slytherins and ignored Professor McGonagall's murderous glare.
