After listening to Petunia's detailed account, Harley interlaced her fingers and nodded.
"I think I understand the situation," Harley said thoughtfully. "Aunt Petunia, please go ahead and prepare breakfast; I'm a bit hungry."
Petunia cast a fearful glance at the black flames atop Harley's head and immediately stood up to start cooking.
At this moment, the flames were clinging to Harley's long black hair, burning quietly without causing the slightest harm to those beautiful locks.
Harley leaned lazily against the back of the chair, looking up at the ceiling with her hands raised high, admiring her own slender fingers.
In reality, however, a storm was already raging in Harley's mind as she continuously reflected on what Petunia had said.
Regarding the death of her parents, Harley felt regret, but she could also understand it. After all, they were outmatched and had made enemies of the wrong people.
Harley could only promise the spirits of her parents that if the opportunity arose, she would use the murderer's head as a sacrifice to honor them.
Beyond that, what interested Harley most was the supernatural power of this world.
The supernatural power in this world was strange. It seemed that only those with a certain aptitude could obtain this power, and it relied entirely on study to be acquired.
It was unlike the Sequence Pathway; although there was plenty of knowledge that required learning, one would always gain some ready-made abilities upon consuming a Potion.
Moreover, this power was called magic. It seemed somewhat like the black magic mastered by the Witch Pathway, yet it also resembled the abilities of the wizards from the Hermit Pathway.
Furthermore, they seemed to share certain similarities with the Perfecter, the Wheel of Fortune, and even the White Tower Pathway.
Considering that her aunt was just an ordinary person and only her sister was a witch, the information Petunia possessed was likely very limited.
Therefore, Harley had a premonition that the 22 pathways of her original world could all find corresponding powers within this magic.
"How very interesting," Harley licked her red lips quietly. "I'm truly looking forward to this!"
Breakfast was soon served. Harley's cousin Dudley, who had previously been cowering in his chair, trying to shrink his fat body into a ball, now perked up, staring longingly at the bacon, ham, and bread on the table.
However, Petunia gave him a secret glare but did not speak up to stop him, clearly afraid of angering the nephew—no, the niece—before her.
Harley, however, noticed this. She pursed her lips and smiled, looking just like a true noble young lady:
"We are all family, why be afraid of me? Hurry up and eat breakfast!"
Dudley didn't notice his mother's expression at all; hearing Harley's words, he reached out directly to grab some bread.
Watching Dudley's crude table manners, Harley couldn't help but frown slightly.
After all, even during her time on the run, Harley had mingled with the noble circles of various empires, so she was accustomed to seeing elegant people who wore constant smiles.
Only when she was forced to relocate alone in the wilderness would Harley display such unrefined behavior, and even then, it was only to recover her strength quickly.
So, seeing Dudley act so boorishly in front of a lady truly made her feel uncomfortable.
Harley carefully selected a piece of bread that Dudley hadn't touched, paired it with some bacon and lettuce, and began to eat in small bites, every movement carrying an elegance that seemed to be born from her very bones.
Just then, the doorbell rang, but Dudley was still eating frantically, as opening the door had always been Harry's job.
Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia looked at Harley, not daring to make a move.
"Please open the door, dear Aunt Petunia," Harley said with a smile after swallowing the last bite of her food and wiping her mouth with a napkin.
Petunia glanced at Harley with trepidation, then stood up silently and walked quickly to open the door.
However, after opening the door, Petunia let out a gasp, and at the same time, an aged and kindly voice rang out:
"Good morning. You must be Petunia! We have corresponded before, but I should still introduce myself. My name is Dumbledore, the current headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I have come today to discuss the matter of Miss Harley Potter entering Hogwarts to study."
"P-please, come in!" Petunia's voice stuttered, and then an old man strode into the Dursley family's living room.
By this time, Harley had already left the dining table, washed her hands, and was standing straight in the living room.
Uncle Vernon, who had witnessed everything from the dining room, was gaping in surprise, as he hadn't even seen how Harley had managed to do all that.
The old man strode into the living room and met Harley's emerald eyes.
Harley's gaze quickly sized up the newcomer, as she had heard the self-introduction of this old man named Dumbledore—the current headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The old man was tall and thin, with silver hair and a beard long enough to be tucked into his belt. He wore a robe, a purple cloak that dragged on the ground, and a pair of high-heeled silver boots with buckles.
Behind the old man's half-moon spectacles, a pair of bright, piercing blue eyes twinkled.
The glasses sat awkwardly on his nose, which was crooked, as if it had been broken at least twice.
But that wasn't the point; the point was that the old man brought with him a very dangerous aura. Harley's spiritual intuition was screaming in alarm!
Harley would bet her exquisite face that the old man before her was at least a demigod, someone who had already stepped half a foot into the realm of mythical creatures!
When the man named Dumbledore saw Harley's appearance, he also paused, a flicker of surprise crossing his eyes.
Originally, Hagrid was supposed to guide Harry, but the name on the Book of Admittance had changed from Harry to Harley.
As headmaster, it was impossible for Dumbledore not to know about such a major event. Thus, Dumbledore had squeezed time out of his busy schedule to come in person.
Although he had anticipated it, Dumbledore still felt a trace of shock when he saw Miss Harley Potter with his own eyes.
Beyond that, he was also shocked by Harley's appearance. After all, Harley's features were already beautiful to begin with, and after taking the witch's Potion, they had become even more exquisite, with both her looks and charm seeing a significant boost.
The point was, Harley's appearance reminded Dumbledore of someone, someone who had already passed away.
Dumbledore suddenly felt that he should have a chat with Professor Snape after returning, to avoid any irrational behavior.
"Hello, Miss Potter." Dumbledore gazed at Harley from behind his half-moon spectacles.
"It is a pleasure to see you again. The last time I saw you, you were still an infant in swaddling clothes. Now, you have grown into a... beautiful young lady."
"Thank you for your compliment, Headmaster Dumbledore." Harley lifted her skirt and curtsied slightly. Everything was so natural.
"You are welcome, Miss Potter. I have come this time to invite you to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Dumbledore said with a smile.
"I am grateful for the Headmaster's regard in being willing to come personally. I would, of course, be very happy to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to study."
As she spoke, Harley made a gesture of invitation, "Please take a seat and wait a moment; I will go fetch you some refreshments. Would you like black tea or something else?"
At the same time, Aunt Petunia quickly slipped into the dining room, and the noise caused by Dudley's rude eating habits vanished instantly.
Dumbledore shook his head with a smile: "Thank you very much, but that will not be necessary. We can settle this matter quite quickly." Saying this, Dumbledore sat down on the sofa.
Harley also smoothed out her long dress, kept her legs together, and slowly sat down.
She occupied only a small portion of the sofa, her back naturally straight, and her hands placed upon her lap.
Dumbledore watched Harley's practiced behavior, a flicker of unknown light flashing in his eyes, before he began to speak:
"The purpose of Hogwarts sending teachers to guide new students is merely to demonstrate the existence of magic to those Muggle guardians who do not understand it, so as to reassure them and allow their children to attend Hogwarts with peace of mind.
However, I believe Petunia should be aware of the existence of magic.
Therefore, I have only two small matters today: one is to take you to purchase the supplies needed for school, and the other is to have a chat with you, Miss Potter, to check on you in my capacity as Headmaster."
