Background

Tom Riddle grew up in a Muggle orphanage and did not know the wizarding world's tales of the Deathly Hallows. As a young wizard, he became exceptionally skilled in memory manipulation, wandless magic, and Dark Magic. By the time he created the Diary Horcrux at sixteen, he could barely cast the Killing Curse without a wand. 123 135 366

Riddle acquired Slytherin's Locket, Hufflepuff's Cup, and Ravenclaw's Diadem through deception and murder. After exposure to gray-white mist strengthened his already divided soul, he abandoned his former identity and formally took the name Voldemort. 249 419
