The fuselages of the helicopters bore the Central Legion's emblem: a roaring tiger.
Each helicopter carried seven or eight people, fully armed and dressed in dark-green military uniforms, standard soul-guided rifles gripped in their hands. Their faces showed no expression at all, their gazes cold and stern, like a group of death warriors about to charge onto the battlefield.
The helicopter rotors churned the air, whipping up dust from the ground until it blotted out the sky. More than thirty helicopters formed a huge diamond formation, flying in from the eastern sky. They converged with Dong Zi'an's mecha formation in midair, then flew side by side toward Mingdu.
The War God Temple's hall master, Guan Yue, joined them halfway. He brought Ao Rui, Jiang Zhanheng, Nangong Yi, and several other War Gods with him, riding a high-speed soul-guided aircraft that took off from the War God Temple's base. The aircraft had a long, sleek fuselage, sharp wings, and the roar of its engines was shrill and piercing. It drew a white stream of air across the sky as it caught up with Dong Zi'an and Yu Guanzhi's group.
Guan Yue stood before the aircraft's porthole, looking at the clouds outside, his expression as calm as still water. Ao Rui sat behind him with his arms folded, eyes half-closed as if dozing.
The Northwest Legion moved closer to the Western Legion, with Northwest Legion commander Yin Moshang taking overall command of the Federation's western defenses. His troops set out from the Northwest Legion's base and advanced westward, filling the gap left behind by the Western Legion. From inside the command vehicle, he issued orders, assigning each unit to the most suitable position. Every command was concise and forceful, every deployment perfectly measured.
