Hatake Sakumo walked forward slowly, the blade in his hand flashing from time to time. Whenever pure white light flickered, screams would rise from treetops, underground, or behind boulders. The hidden sentries stationed around the Cloud Shinobi camp were completely wiped out by him in mere moments.
Behind Hatake Sakumo followed Might Duy, clad in green. He was usually rather unreliable, but when carrying out a mission, Might Duy still knew what he was doing.
Though he was also a ninja from Root, compared to an all-rounder like Hatake Sakumo, Might Duy was far inferior in every aspect except combat strength. He had no way to locate those eyes hidden in the darkness. So all he needed to do was stand behind Hatake Sakumo and stay out of his way.
Before long, the two arrived at the entrance to the main camp. At that moment, the camp gate was already packed with Kumogakure ninja. Among Kumogakure's impressions of Konoha's strongest fighters, Hatake Sakumo was a master second only to Sarutobi Toru, who had challenged both the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki and the Third Raikage in succession during the last Shinobi World War.
The Cloud Shinobi in the camp stirred restlessly. More and more eyes turned toward
