The number of ordinary Mist Ninja casualties was enough to break the Fourth Mizukage's heart. Yet compared with the other losses, the deaths of ordinary ninja could only be considered a minor part.
Juzo Biwa and Ringo Ameyuri, two of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, had died in battle. The Kubikiribōchō, the Lightning Blade, and the twin blades Hiramekarei—which had been lost in Konoha during the Second Shinobi World War, later redeemed and stored in a warehouse—had all been seized. Three of the seven Ninja Swords had been lost at once.
Because of the airship bombardment, nearly all of Kirigakure had been blasted into ruins. Fortunately, the Mist had no civilians, and even ninja families lived on the outskirts, preventing even greater casualties.
However, the immense costs of rebuilding Kirigakure, combined with losses from destroyed strategic supplies, meant that the wealth the Mist had plundered from the Land of Wind was not only all spent, but they had also had to pay out a great deal more.
Even members of the Kaguya clan and Yuki Clan, the two great Bloodline Clans, had been abducted amid the chaos. Much ninja research material had also been seized by the Puppet Army. The losses were so severe that Kirigakure had never suffered anything like them since its founding.
Yet after inflicting such massive casualties on Kirigakure, nearly seven to eight hundred Puppets out of the three-thousand-strong Puppet Army had survived!
That was because, although these three thousand Puppets had not been handcrafted by Sasori of the Red Sands, he had improved the production line and fitted them with all kinds of new mechanisms, turning them into Auto Puppets far more powerful than the crude Puppets used against Iwagakure.
Moreover, the ones controlling these Puppets were actually Sasori of the Red Sands's
