He deliberately teased them with a smile. "Did you miss Daddy, or did you miss the ice cream Daddy buys for you?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Alissa's eyes darted around. She lowered her voice and carefully replied, "Both, Daddy. So when are you taking us out for ice cream?"

After saying that, she secretly glanced at her mother, Anne Hathaway, who was sitting on the living room sofa not far away, as though afraid her mother would discover her little scheme.
