History

Clementine had already become a Light Paragon when Augusta took him on as an envoy. Augusta intervened after a Thunder Sovereign tried to force Clementine into servitude over a clash with the Sovereign’s son 3.

Before the Water Elemental Plane’s next major Plane War, Augusta kept Clementine from fighting, intending to preserve his opportunity to act for a future Celestial Realm campaign 3 19. When another Water Elemental Plane winning streak threatened, Augusta assigned Clementine and the Fate Paragon Magnus to defend the two Star River Passages 69 72.

Appearance

Clementine has short golden hair, a mustache, and eyes that shine with light 77.

• His eyebrows are golden and sharply defined 134.
• He wears white robes when he visits Leisijing’s group on the Plane Battlefield 134.

Personality

Clementine welcomes the chance to fight another Paragon. He eagerly spars with Magnus, praises his techniques, and chooses to counter an attack directly rather than rely on his defensive Sovereign Artifact 73 74. He is less invested in the Radiant Divine Realm’s victory than Ninisha is in hers, regarding their clash as a mission rather than a personal cause 77.

After seeing the New Four Divine Beasts’ combined ability kill Magnus, Clementine withdraws. He acknowledges the defeat, though he worries about what fleeing the battlefield will do to his reputation 81.

He survives her Star Thunder Impact, but retreats after the New Four Divine Beasts kill Magnus, leaving the Radiant Divine Realm’s army to withdraw 77 78 81.
• Beirut’s bloodline — years later, Clementine seeks out Beirut after hearing that his Innate Divine Ability killed Okarowell. He studies Beirut’s ability and essence blood, continuing an interest in Super Divine Beasts that began with the New Four Divine Beasts’ victory over Magnus 134.
