"Thank you, Mom." Lele answered shyly.
"Lele, what did you do today? Did the teacher praise you?" Su Chen asked, scooping Lele up in his arms as well.
The four of them walked together toward where they had parked.
"Today, the teacher had us compete in a tug-of-war. After we formed our team, I went to tell the teacher," Lele loudly recounted what had happened that day.
"Then the teacher asked us to see if there were any other classmates who needed help. I found some classmates who were by themselves, so I asked them to join our group," Lele said.
"Then the teacher praised you?" Su Chen asked.
"That's right! The teacher praised me!" Lele answered happily.
"Lele did a great job!" Su Chen praised him as well.
"That's right, Lele was wonderful today. You should keep helping your classmates in the future too!" Yan Bingxue praised Lele as well.
"Mhm, mhm," Lele replied.
As they chatted, they reached the parking area. Everyone got into the car, and Su Chen drove them home.
"Lele, which side won your tug-of-war competition today?" Yan Bingxue asked, looking at him.
"We won!" Lele said happily.
"That's right, we won!" Tuantuan chimed in excitedly.
"That's amazing," Yan Bingxue said with a smile. Those two little ones were quite brave.
"Mom, we drank all the water we brought today!" Tuantuan said, holding up her water bottle.
"Mom, I finished mine too," Lele said, lifting his own water bottle.
"You both did very well," Yan Bingxue praised them gently.
While the two little ones chattered away about what had happened that day, Su Chen had already driven the car to their front door.
The two little ones got out of the car on their own and entered the house with their backpacks on.
