The South Sea force surged toward the East Sea in a mighty procession. Sea Star Douluo and Sea Spear Douluo traveled in the middle, surrounded by a dense mass of South Sea Soul Beasts. With so many around them, they felt considerably more at ease.
What they did not know was that every move they made had been watched from the moment they left Sea God Island.
Meanwhile, in a secluded undersea canyon somewhere in the West Sea, two figures stood facing each other.
Crayfish Douluo folded his arms, impatience edging into his voice. "You're too slow. They must be nearly at the East Sea by now."
Giant Claw Douluo leisurely flexed his wrists. "It's only been the time it takes to drink a cup of tea. How could they be that fast?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the Deep Wave Sound-Transmission Conches in their robes vibrated at the same time.
Crayfish Douluo took out his conch and fed a thread of Soul Power into it. A brief report came from within the shell: "The South Sea has assembled an army and is advancing toward the East Sea. Estimated strength: no fewer than four hundred thousand fighters of Ten-Thousand-Year caliber. Sea Star and Sea Spear are among them."
After hearing the message, Giant Claw Douluo grinned. "Looks like being slow has its advantages. We avoided a head-on clash."
Crayfish Douluo snorted. "Wouldn't killing them sooner amount to the same thing?"
Giant Claw Douluo shrugged. "So what do we do now?"
Crayfish Douluo's eyes flickered, resolve in his voice. "What else? Call in the troops."
Giant Claw Douluo spread his hands. "But Huben borrowed every unit of the Giant Claw Legion I could mobilize. I've only got a few hundred personal guards left. They're nowhere near enough."
