No black particles poured forth, nor was there that familiar feeling of blindness and falling.
All he could say was that Kamar-Taj's portals were just too versatile. Fang Mo merely lifted his foot and stepped forward, and the scenery around him changed instantly in the next second.
The grand Infinity Plaza vanished, replaced by a not particularly spacious clearing in the woods.

Sensing the change in surroundings, Fang Mo looked up and began surveying the area.
The clearing clearly showed signs of human maintenance. A few old bluestone bricks had been laid across the ground, and plenty of wild grass stubbornly grew from the cracks between them.
Beyond the clearing lay a bottomless cliff.
Although the blazing sun hung high overhead, the area was unexpectedly cool. A breeze occasionally drifted through, and white mist could be seen shrouding the distant mountain ravines.
Clearly, this clearing had been built high in the mountains.
Fang Mo turned to look behind him and happened to spot a somewhat dilapidated little Taoist temple.
The temple looked as though it had long since been abandoned. Moss covered the roof tiles, and the wooden structure supporting the gates bore signs of damage.
Several deep gouges marred the walls, while large patches of green paint had peeled away. There was even a puddle at the entrance. Only the wooden plaque above the gate still hung crookedly in place, bearing the three words Fengyue Temple. Yet even it was mottled and weathered, gradually being consumed by unidentified fungal threads.
There was also an ancient tree stump outside the temple, apparently severed by something. The trunk lay beside it, half of it already rotted into mud.
