Not long afterward, the blinding lightning rapidly dimmed.
Black smoke filled the entire room, carrying a choking burnt smell. It was somewhat like burned hair, and somewhat like damp wood being set alight.
Fang Mo looked at Mei Po with some difficulty, only to find her tiny body charred black. Irregular cracks faintly covered her skin, while the inside glowed a little red like burning charcoal. Wisps of bluish smoke kept rising from her head... Clearly, this unlucky child had been completely burned into charcoal.
