Chapter Summaries

Santa Claus sent Special Division 4 and their enemies to Hell, where the Darkness Devil appeared. The chapter ended with the group facing the primal Devil as the Fiends succumbed to terror.

• Santa Claus transformed Toriga into a doll, and Reze blew him apart before the Angel Demon’s spear pinned Toriga’s master to a wall.
• Santa Claus sacrificed her children and summoned the Hell Devil, transporting everyone except herself to Hell.
• Guangxi and the armored warrior agreed to a temporary truce to protect Hayakawa Aki while the Fiends collapsed in terror.
• The Angel Demon explained that they had been noticed by a primal Devil, and a mass of darkness spread across the strange meadow.
• The Darkness Devil emerged as severed astronauts appeared in two rows before it.

The Darkness Devil slaughtered the group and completed Santa Claus’s contract, but Fang Mo appeared in a bizarre spectacle and blasted the devil with a beam of light. The Darkness Devil rose again from the crater’s shadow, leaving the fight unresolved.

• The Darkness Devil severed the group’s arms, while Toriga asked it for power to kill Makima in exchange for bringing the Chainsaw’s heart.
• The Darkness Devil gave Santa Claus its flesh, completing the contract, then killed Toriga and turned its attention back to the survivors.
• Kishibe and Guangxi prepared to face the Darkness Devil, while Yoshida Hirofumi spotted Fang Mo dancing on a brightly lit hill.

After defeating the Darkness Devil and turning it into a sword, Fang Mo restored his companions’ arms and prepared to send them out of Nether. He refused to release Guangxi and her two companions, but offered to spare them if they joined Special Division 4.

Fang Mo returned the group from Nether to Tokyo, then stayed behind to speak with Kishibe about Makima, the Mating Devil, and his plans. Kishibe agreed to hand over the Mating Devil after Fang Mo promised he would soon leave the universe, and Fang Mo hurried to collect it.

• Fang Mo used stopped time and the World Box to return everyone to Tokyo, then went back to Nether, where Kishibe remained to speak with him.
• Kishibe asked Fang Mo about Himeno, Makima, and the Control Devil, and Fang Mo explained that killing Makima would only lead to her reincarnation.
• Fang Mo told Kishibe he intended to use the Mating Devil against Makima, but planned to leave the world soon and erase Makima's authority rather than kill her.
• Kishibe asked Fang Mo to send him out of Nether and agreed to give him the Mating Devil; Fang Mo teleported them back to the villa.
• Fang Mo immediately demanded that Kishibe take him to the Mating Devil so he could have sex.

Fang Mo examined the Mating Devil and discovered that its scent could affect people, but he resisted it and sealed the devil into the Ender Greatsword. Seeing the Shoggoths gather around the transformed weapon, he considered testing whether an MC creature could inherit a devil’s authority through renaming.

• Kishibe showed Fang Mo the Mating Devil, a massive flesh-like creature he had found in India, then left to deal with Santa Claus.
• The Mating Devil’s scent gave Fang Mo an In Heat effect, which he removed by holding his breath and having Steve drink milk.
• Fang Mo tested the devil’s influence on the Flayed Man and found that the Shoggoths were unaffected.
• Fang Mo stabbed the Mating Devil and sealed it inside the Ender Greatsword, which transformed into a grotesque, sticky weapon.

• Fang Mo released the Mating Devil and had Steve devour its concepts, then used a Naming Plate to give Shoggoth its authority.
• Shoggoth turned pink, imitated A Xue, and split into increasingly smaller maid-like forms while trying to please Fang Mo.

• Fang Mo bestowed the Darkness Devil’s authority on Shoggoth, giving her a conceptual body of darkness and new abilities.
• Shoggoth transformed into a white-haired maid, and Fang Mo named her Takoli.
• At Fang Mo’s suggestion, Takoli changed into a squat black cat with a tiny top hat and tentacles.

• Fang Mo found Special Division 4 fighting Santa Claus, whose Darkness-enhanced powers let her control a vast puppet army and regenerate in darkness.
• Santa Claus used her puppets to wear down the Division and provoke Makima into appearing, while Angel proposed a thousand-year weapon and the others considered retreating.
• Fang Mo appeared, mocked the Division, and crushed thousands of puppets and Santa Claus beneath a wave of force.

Fang Mo summoned Takoli, who drained Santa Claus’s power of darkness, then forced the Doll Devil to end its contract with her. With Santa Claus left powerless and trapped, Fang Mo prepared to teach her how to make refined dolls.

After Santa Claus’s defeat, Fang Mo exchanged gifts and knowledge with Nyarlathotep, unlocking the Abyssal Kingdom mod before Nyarlathotep departed. Fang Mo headed home and found Guangxi and her two Fiend girls following him.

• The Metropolitan Police Department assessed Santa Claus’s destruction, while Special Division 4 gained fame as heroes for fighting the dolls.
• Nyarlathotep told Fang Mo he planned to run for president and asked for a Naming Plate, which he managed to hold using his powers.
• Fang Mo gave Nyarlathotep several mod items, and Nyarlathotep shared knowledge that let Fang Mo use alchemy and gave him a coordinate.
• Fang Mo touched Nyarlathotep’s coordinate, unlocked the Abyssal Kingdom mod, and received a Lucky Block for loading it.

Late that night, Hayakawa Aki visited and realized Fang Mo's armored warrior was his former partner Himeno, then reacted with alarm when Fang Mo said he had eaten her.

• Fang Mo let Guangxi and her two fiends stay at his villa after she promised they would not cause trouble for A Xue.
• At dinner, Fang Mo told Guangxi to integrate into Special Division 4 and help take down the Gun Devil in a few days.
• Guangxi and her fiends settled into one room, while Fang Mo watched television with Takoli late into the night.
• Hayakawa Aki arrived after two in the morning and asked Fang Mo whether the armored warrior was his former partner, Himeno.

Fang Mo told Hayakawa Aki that Makima was the Control Devil and that the extermination squad might actually be gathering to fight him, while preparing Aki to face the Gun Devil. Three days later, Makima called Fang Mo as the squad was supposedly about to form.

• Hayakawa Aki confronted Fang Mo about Himeno, and Fang Mo reminded him of their contract to give him the power to defeat the Gun Devil.
• Aki said Makima had revealed that the Gun Devil’s flesh was moving toward its body and that the extermination squad would act in about three days.
• Fang Mo told Aki that Makima was the Control Devil and explained how she controlled people, including the Angel Demon and possibly members of Special Operations Division.
• Fang Mo warned Aki that Makima might be assembling the squad to exterminate him, then altered Aki’s Ender Sword so it could summon Himeno to fight alongside him.

Fang Mo went to Makima’s gathering point expecting an extermination battle and found her controlled hunters and weapon humans waiting to attack him. He began the fight by killing the Spear Devil Human and overwhelming several attackers, while Makima’s forces continued their assault.

• Makima summoned Fang Mo to an abandoned dock near Tokyo Bay, and Fang Mo prepared by packing away his villa and sending Guangxi’s Devil Human girls to the Ego planet.
• Fang Mo met Makima and accused her of assembling controlled fighters to target him, but she claimed the operation was against the Gun Devil before admitting she wanted to defeat him.
• Makima began the extermination battle and unleashed the weapon humans, including the Katana man, Reze, Spear, Whip, Sword, and Flamethrower Devil Humans.
• Fang Mo drew Laevateinn, killed the Spear Devil Human, kicked Reze away, and set the Whip and Sword Devil Humans ablaze.
• The Flamethrower Devil Human’s attack engulfed Fang Mo and the Katana Devil Human, but Fang Mo emerged unharmed while the Katana Devil Human had fallen.

Fang Mo annihilated Makima’s forces and repeatedly killed her with his bizarre attacks, but she eventually summoned the Chainsaw Devil, whose blades managed to damage him. Fang Mo drew the Sword of Light Klausolas and prepared to fight seriously above Tokyo Bay.

• Fang Mo quickly killed the six Weapon Humans, including the Flamethrower Devil Human and Reze, then burned away Makima’s Zombies.
• Fang Mo shattered Makima’s Thousand Year Spear and launched her into the sky with Thousand Years of Death.
• Makima unleashed a horde of monsters, but Fang Mo’s Super Shinra Tensei devastated the battlefield; Makima survived and attacked him with fire.
• Fang Mo repeatedly killed Makima with attacks infused with Chakra, but she regenerated each time.

• Fang Mo used the Beacon’s power and Celestial Ego’s light to overpower the Chainsaw Devil, then split him in two with a spinning blade of light.
• Makima said the Chainsaw Devil would keep rising, and he regenerated before Fang Mo blasted Makima apart with a beam of light.

• Makima tried to stop Fang Mo from destroying the beach, but he tossed a flying knife that detonated in a mushroom cloud.

• Makima summoned the Curse Devil to kill Fang Mo, but a black cat on his shoulder frightened the Curse Devil into retreating.
• The Gun Devil arrived and unleashed a barrage, but Fang Mo fired a beam that vaporized its lower body and sent it crashing into the sea.
• Fang Mo turned back to Makima, pulled out a pink weapon, and prepared to show her his next move.

Fang Mo overcame Makima’s contracts and plans, stripped her of the Control Devil’s authority, and left her unable to threaten the world. He returned to Tokyo, where Special Division 4 was still fighting the wounded Gun Devil, and Guangxi pointed out that Chainsaw Man had come back.

• Fang Mo stopped time, carried Makima to an uninhabited island, and blasted a huge hole in the moon to show that her threat of transferring harm to Japan’s population could not stop him.
• Fang Mo demonstrated the Skinners man’s repeated revival and used an Impure World Reincarnation body to kill Makima despite her contract, while she admitted she still relied on Chainsaw Man.
• Fang Mo took Makima to the Ego planet, had Steve devour the Ender Greatsword and the Mating Devil, and used a Naming Plate to replace her Control Devil authority with the Mating Devil’s power.

• Fang Mo told Denji that Reze had promised to sleep with him after the Gun Devil’s defeat, and Denji transformed into Chainsaw Man and charged into battle with Beam.
• The strengthened Special Division 4 defeated the wounded Gun Devil, and Hayakawa Aki spoke with Fang Mo before Kishibe arrived to ask about the hole in the moon and Makima.
