Chapter Summaries

Fang Mo failed to revive Makima and learned that her contract may have caused her death. After Kishibe left, Hayakawa Aki returned to ask Fang Mo for one final favor.

• Fang Mo used Impure World Reincarnation on Makima, but the coffin sank back into the ground before she could be revived.
• Kishibe suggested Makima's devil soul had reincarnated in Nether and that her contract with Japan's Cabinet Minister might have killed her for breaking its terms.
• Fang Mo burned Makima's corpse to ashes and told Kishibe he planned to leave soon.

Fang Mo emerged from underground into the aftermath of Ichigo Kurosaki’s battle with Ulquiorra Cifer and Yammy Riyalgo, then intervened when Ichigo begged him to save Orihime Inoue. After healing Orihime and demonstrating overwhelming power, Fang Mo watched the Espada prepare to retreat, but stopped them before they could leave.

• Fang Mo blasted his way out of the earth and found Ichigo Kurosaki, Orihime Inoue, and Yasutora Sado badly injured.
• Ichigo begged Fang Mo to save Orihime, and Fang Mo recognized Ulquiorra Cifer and Yammy Riyalgo as the attackers.

Yammy transformed into the Zero Espada and unleashed increasingly powerful attacks, but Fang Mo’s new armor left him unharmed as he prepared to strike back with the Heavenfall Longbow.

• Fang Mo stopped Yammy and Ulquiorra from leaving, froze time to cut off Ulquiorra’s mask horn, and demanded news about Aizen’s Hogyoku.
• Ulquiorra threw Yammy through a closing Garganta, but Fang Mo tore the portal open and followed them into it.

Fang Mo killed Yammy with the Heavenfall Longbow, then survived the collapse of Soul Society’s boundary and returned to the Human World. He rejoined Ichigo and the others, where Kisuke Urahara confronted him about their supposed past acquaintance.

• Fang Mo told Kisuke Urahara he urgently wanted to reach Hueco Mundo and take the Hogyoku before attending a friend’s funeral and leaving the world.
• Fang Mo joked with Kisuke Urahara and Yoruichi Shihouin about his supposed future knowledge, his feared reputation, and his threat to destroy the Central 46 Chambers.

After the collapse of Soul Society's boundary stranded everyone in the Human World, Fang Mo stayed with Kisuke Urahara and Yoruichi Shihouin while they sought a way to reopen the passage. Ichigo Kurosaki admitted he feared losing control to his inner Hollow, and Fang Mo offered to help by making him turn into one.

• Kisuke Urahara learned Fang Mo had caused Soul Society's boundary to collapse and explained that the disaster temporarily trapped Aizen in Hueco Mundo as well.
• Kisuke Urahara proposed opening Garganta passages to release the boundary's energy, while Fang Mo warned him to aim them into the air.

• Fang Mo urged Ichigo Kurosaki to face Hollowfication and explained that Ichigo’s mother was a Quincy and his inner Zangetsu represented Yhwach’s power.
• Fang Mo told Ichigo that his mother had been infected by a Hollow created by Aizen, and that Yhwach’s Auswählen had left her vulnerable to the Hollow that killed her.

• Fang Mo manifested a personal Dimensional Gate and realized he had formed a connection to a vast, empty white dimension he could govern.

Fang Mo explored the Pure White Spacetime, reclaimed Ego’s power by removing his brain from the planet, and set up a day-night cycle for Ego’s world. He left through the Dimensional Gate into a fight involving Ichigo Kurosaki and Captain Tosen.

• Fang Mo discovered that he could control space, gravity, light, and time inside the Pure White Spacetime, and considered materializing other MC dimensions.
• Fang Mo released Ego into the dimension, where the Ender Dragon arrived with a hungry Pink-haired Loli.
• Fang Mo had Ego sever his neural network, reclaimed Ego as Klausolas’s source of power, and adjusted the planet to alternate between the Dark Dimension and Pure White Spacetime.
• Fang Mo exited through the Dimensional Gate and found Ichigo Kurosaki down on the street as a blue-haired Arrancar faced him and Captain Tosen prepared to open a Garganta.

Fang Mo reunited with Tosen Kaname in the Human World, defeated Grimmjow, and gave Tosen more Essence Berries. Tosen revealed that Aizen planned to use Orihime Inoue’s power to fuse with the Hogyoku, and Fang Mo considered taking her to Aizen himself.

• Fang Mo encountered Tosen Kaname and Grimmjow, learned Soul Society’s boundary had been rebuilt, and admitted he had killed Yammy.
• Grimmjow attacked Fang Mo but was knocked down, while Tosen Kaname asked for more Golden Fertilizer and accepted a bag of Essence Berries.
• Tosen Kaname prepared to kill Grimmjow, but Grimmjow released Pantera and attacked Fang Mo; Fang Mo wounded him and blasted him into a charred body.
• Tosen Kaname ate the Essence Berries and told Fang Mo that Aizen had not yet fused with the Hogyoku but planned to use Orihime Inoue’s power to do so.

Fang Mo treated Tosen Kaname’s wounds and spoke with him about his changing views on justice before Tosen returned to Las Noches. After Soul Society reinforcements arrived, Fang Mo healed Rukia Kuchiki and confronted Yoruichi Shihouin about Kisuke Urahara moving his Dimensional Gate.

• Tosen Kaname said he had begun to see the Soul Society’s corrupt nobles and order, rather than the entire society, as the source of its wrongs, and declared his intent to expose them.
• Fang Mo jokingly suggested Tosen become a Marine admiral called Black Bear, and Tosen left through a Garganta.
• Renji Abarai, Toshiro Hitsugaya, Rangiku Matsumoto, Ikkaku Madarame, and Chōjirō Sasakibe arrived, and Toshiro questioned why Fang Mo was there.
• Orihime Inoue began healing Ichigo Kurosaki, who urged her to treat the badly injured Rukia Kuchiki first.
• Fang Mo pulled Rukia to him and rapidly healed her with what he called the Power of Permission.
• Ichigo asked where Kisuke Urahara was, and Fang Mo demanded to know why Urahara had moved his Dimensional Gate; Yoruichi Shihouin angrily responded.

Fang Mo agreed to train Ichigo Kurosaki and brought him into his dimension to use as a training ground. He began by knocking Ichigo down, leaving them to start the meditation portion of training.

• Yoruichi Shihouin explained that Kisuke Urahara's shop and underground training space had been destroyed when the Garganta experiment caused an explosion.
• Ichigo Kurosaki begged Fang Mo to help him understand his Hollow and Uncle Zangetsu, and Fang Mo agreed; he also offered to inspect Orihime Inoue's damaged Shield of the Blooming.
• Fang Mo accompanied Ichigo to the Kurosaki Clinic, attached the Dimensional Gate to a wall, and invited Ichigo into his dimension.
• Fang Mo brought Ichigo to the now-brighter Ego planet and adjusted the pocket dimension's time flow to match the outside world.

Fang Mo trained Ichigo Kurosaki, forcing him into a scalding healing pool before explaining how to accept and harness his Hollow instincts. He then revealed that Ichigo’s power was being restricted and that Yhwach inside him was sabotaging his efforts.

• Fang Mo built a boiling Holy Spring pool and threw the badly injured Ichigo Kurosaki into it, healing his wounds.
