Andre III hadn't died. That was the news currently coming out of the palace.
There was little information about the assassin beyond rumors that they were a foreigner.
As soon as Ron heard the news from Sylvie, he headed straight for the Imperial Capital.
But the moment he left the Flower Shop, two palace guards approached and bowed to him. "His Majesty Andre has ordered that he needs to rest and recover for the time being. He won't be seeing anyone."
The news left Ron with no choice but to stop on his way to the palace.
Ron asked the two guards for more information, but couldn't get anything useful out of them. They clearly didn't know the details of what had happened either.
It was as if everything had happened suddenly, then immediately returned to normal.
Aside from Andre III no longer attending court meetings and instead staying in the main hall to recuperate, nothing else had changed.
But the atmosphere in the Imperial Capital had grown tense all at once.
The diplomatic envoys from the various races who had come to attend the meetings were especially on edge.
Most people had only heard that His Majesty Andre had been attacked and was now recovering, but that he was out of danger.
So, aside from angrily denouncing the assassin's actions, there wasn't much else they could do.
However, many of the proposals at the meetings between the various races were put on hold.
"Prince Ron, please let me stay by your side during this time," Sylvie said solemnly.
If even Andre III could be attacked in the Imperial Capital, then it went without saying that others could be as well.
Although Ron had many ways to protect himself, and a top-notch assassin like Yuna was always at his side
