"What is this thing?"
On a bright, sunny day, old Charles was sitting in his courtyard when he saw his second and third sons walk in, each carrying a metal box. He could not help asking in surprise.
"Hehe." The third son set the metal box in his hands on the wooden table and explained with a grin, "It's a benefit issued by the private army camp."
As he spoke, he went into the house, brought out a cup, and placed it beneath a small faucet beside the box.
Without turning on the faucet in a hurry, the third son first opened the box's lid for his father to inspect its interior.
Old Charles leaned in for a look, then asked doubtfully, "There's nothing inside."
"That's exactly right." The third son laughed, shut the lid, and twisted the faucet open.
At first, nothing happened.
But two or three seconds later, a clear stream of water began gurgling from the faucet and pouring into the cup.
Before long, it filled the cup to the brim.
"This..." Old Charles's mouth fell open. Refusing to believe it, he opened the lid—and saw a miraculous sight—
Water was actually appearing out of thin air inside the completely empty box!
