For instance, composite magic was not necessarily overwhelmingly powerful; sometimes it could be countered by a simple single-element spell.
And high-tier magic did not necessarily have greater power. It might simply be rated high-tier because the casting process was too complicated.
In short, there were far too many intricacies involved. Ron, a complete rookie at magic,
