Feng Jun ignored the major's doubts completely. "He Runxian, I'll count to three. If you don't come out, I'm leaving!"
"One, two..."
"I'll come out right away," He Runxian shouted, grabbing the communicator. "Sir, please give me a little time to put on my armor."
It did not take him long to don the armor. Five minutes later, he walked out of the Production Base with two bodyguards.
Feng Jun did not make an issue of the two bodyguards. When he had first met He Runxian, the man had brought bodyguards even when standing at his own doorstep. "You two, don't come too close."
The two bodyguards obediently stopped. He Runxian, however, walked over without hesitation, though the Plasma Cannon in his hand was charging. Clearly, he remained wary.
Even so, he chuckled. "Sir, it's been a long time. I've missed you terribly."
"Who told you to be so weak?" Feng Jun replied dismissively. "A mere Shen could manipulate you like that."
"Yes, weakness is the original sin." He Runxian sighed softly. To ordinary people, even compared with someone as influential as Sister Qin, he was undoubtedly a powerful figure. Yet he knew perfectly well that compared with Minister Shen or the man before him, he was truly nothing.
After steadying himself, he spoke solemnly. "I'm truly grateful that you still remembered me, sir."
Back when Feng Jun had been getting by in Sprout City, he would have believed that the man was sincerely grateful. But after spending so long in society, he now understood the unspoken meaning behind those words—why had you thought of me?
"Consider yourself lucky. I happened to hear from my companions that this place was still holding on, so I came to take a look. I thought you would have died in Doomsday Fortress... Was
